Located in the La Casa Lakeside Cattage resort, you will have access to a pool, hot tub, marina, beach, childrens play-ground, miniature golf, tennis courts and other ammenities. Sleeps 6 to 8 people - each bedroom has a queen size bed and the couch can be converted into a twin bed.

Owner's reply: FALSE STATEMENTS FROM GUESTS & WHY PRE-AUTHORIZED DAMAGE/SECURITY DEPOSITS EXIST !!! Essentially everything you have stated is a “false” as you are only leaving a negative review due to a $150 damage charge taken from your pre-authorized damage/security deposit. Evidence was clearly provided via digital pictures and a written report from the cleaner that clearly indicated carpet stains, excessive pet hair/fur, extra cleaning required and a broken latch on the clothes dryer. We are not in the position to subsidize damages caused by guests and have every right to cover the cost of remediation from a pre-authorized damage/security deposit. The cottage was in complete working order and the only issues encountered were over the damage you caused. It is unfortunate that people like you spoil it for others – for example situations like this is why most properties do not allow pets! Hopefully you and other members of your group will be more respectful and responsible in the future.

Owner's reply: We are pleased that you enjoyed the cottage and found the employees and guests friendly. Regarding your comments on the beach areas - due to growing restrictions on how lake front and beaches can be developed the owners cannot modify existing waterfront by trucking in more sand. Plenty of guests including children do use the beach, lakefront and lake with or without water type socks/shoes. Regarding your comments on availability of seating - with it being peak high demand season during the summer months of July and August it should be no surprise that availability of chairs would be limited around the swimming pools and beach/lake areas. Other options do exist as follows: - To avoid long walks, most people drive down to the lakefront and beach areas as there is parking by the marina. - A second pool and hot tub are located at the upper level area of the resort. - There is a children's playground in the central amenities area that contains a sandy area. - Fintry Provincial Park (5 minutes drive) is next door and contains a very sandy beach area along with an amazing stair walk around a waterfall system. In closing, we are sorry that your stay was not 100% and we appreciate the feedback and have forwarded your comments to the strata corporation for future development of common amenities. We wish you all the best on your future vacationing!

How do damage deposits work?

If Robert (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
