Description

Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets on your private Lake of the Woods island, located east of Kenora. The rustic log cabin features picturesque views of Bigstone Bay on Lake of the Woods. The island is a 12 minute boat ride from Bare Point Marina or a one minute boat ride from our private dock on Storm Bay Road, Branch 9. Parking, boat launch is available from from Bare Point Marina, which also has the cheapest gasoline available in the area. The island is 20 minutes east of Kenora.

The space

Main cabin: Hand-hewn log cabin featuring 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, bathroom (toilet and sink), the shower is around the back side of the house, living room, new wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen, loft with a double and a single size mattress, decks on two sides with great views of the lake, barbeque.

Guest cabin: hand-hewn log cabin featuring a king size bed, new wood burning stove, covered front porch with lake views. In the spring of 2018 we will be adding on a bathroom off the back of the cabin. It will have a sink, toilet and a shower.

-Lakeside screened-in gazebo and fire pit

-Large dock perfect for suntanning and fishing

-Ladder for getting into the water

-In the spring of 2018, we are also installing a new septic system, which will make all toilets fully functional

-Rocky shore which changes into sand after 1 meter

-Newly purchased 49" LG TV

-Newly purchased mattresses throughout

-Wifi

-Please bring your own bedding and towels

Why can't I call Kaitlyn (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Kaitlyn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
