Looking for a unique mountain escape - our home in Kimberley is the place to be! It's guaranteed to be a memorable experience for the whole family! Appreciate nature from inside this magnificent mountain home or hit the slopes, trails, rivers, and golf courses for the real feel!

Complete your day by relaxing in the hot tub and sauna, or cool off in the pool at our private Mountainside Club just steps away! The facility also includes a well-equipped fitness room and change facility.

Our Home

Our custom-built mountain home has it all! Enjoy a BBQ on the huge back deck and appreciate the views of Kimberley Alpine Resort just steps away. The front veranda is perfect for tranquil early morning coffees and stunning glimpses of the Columbia Valley. Wildlife are all around – so be sure to bring your camera for our local deer, elk, bears, and birds.

Guests are sure to enjoy this fully furnished, 4-bedroom, 2.5 bath custom home. The home sleeps 11 guests comfortably. The entire home stays cozy and warm with radiant heated floors throughout.

The main level master bedroom has a king-sized log bed, while the main level den is setup as a children’s playroom with a pullout couch/bed for two small children.

The lower level boasts 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The third bedroom hosts two bunkbeds, one extra-long with the lower bed a double bed, upper extra-long. The second bunkbed is standard twin size on both the lower and upper.

Relax and enjoy the spacious open living area with the stunning wood burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and two-story windows to view the ski hill. The dining area seats 10 guests with 4 guests comfortably seated at the custom wood and granite island bar, likely sneaking a peek at the game on TV and 6 seated at the dining table. Hand crafted kitchen cabinets are equipped with everything needed for quick snacks for the kids or large holiday meals.

The playroom is just off the living area, ready for children with games and crafts at their own table or watching movies on the kid’s couch.

An oversized sectional in the lower level is the perfect place to curl up in front of the gas fireplace to watch TV or read a book. Those who enjoy a game of cards or monopoly can use the custom-built card table or challenge their friends at table tennis or darts!

Guests are welcome to use the huge mudroom and laundry room off the main entrance. Shoes, coats, and light gear can be stored here in the ample, well-organized space.

Backpacks, bikes, skis, ski boots, snowshoes, etc. are stored on shelves and racks in the heated double attached garage where you can change out of your ski gear and enjoy it the next day warm and dry by using the large boot and gear dryer in the garage.

Getting Here

Kimberley is conveniently situated just 15 minutes from the Canadian Rockies International Airport, which offers daily direct flights to and from Vancouver, Kelowna, and Calgary. Airlines that provide service are Pacific Coastal, Air Canada, and WestJet (as of March 7, 2018).

If you choose to take a scenic drive to Kimberley, it averages only four and a half hours from Calgary or Lethbridge, and six and a half from Kelowna.

Local Activities

Kimberley has an abundance of unique and interactive attractions. From beautiful gardens, kilometers of hiking/biking trails, an underground mining experience, natural waterfalls, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, golfing, skateboarding, fishing, boating, swimming, whitewater rafting, and so much more!

Winter

This spectacular house is located within walking distance of Kimberley Alpine Resort. A path across from the Mountainside Club leads you to the base of the hill 600 m away. The path is paved and cleared on flat terrain. Kimberley Alpine Resort offers world class skiing where beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders can enjoy 80 runs (with 20% beginner, 42% intermediate and 38% advanced trails). For a fun experience try skiing in the night under the stars (Thu, Fri, Sat). Fresh powder, good vibes and sunshine, no wonder Kimberley attracts skiers from around the world!

There are trails for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing just up the road at the Kimberley Nordic Centre. The trails are of varying degrees of difficulty and length to accommodate all levels of Nordic skiers and snowshoes. The modern facility includes a comfortable lodge with washrooms, a racer's warming/waxing hut and some trails are specifically constructed to be Paralympic skiing friendly.

Snowmobile tours take visitors further afield into the Purcell Mountains or discover your own snow-covered opportunity locally.

How do damage deposits work?
