The property is set in a quiet village location with easy access to shops & public transport.. A short walk through tropical countryside will bring you to Kovalam's renowned Lighthouse beach with its many restaurants, bars & gift shops.
Rickshaws & taxis operate at reasonable prices & tours to other parts of Kerala & beyond can be organised .
Ayruvedic practitioners & a yoga master are available if required, as is the service of a local chef.
The property is only 14 kms from the state capital, Trivandrum & its peaceful location makes an ideal retreat for dental & medical tourists undergoing treatment.

“Fantastic, friendly and value for money stay”

This is an excellent place to stay. Pat, the owner, is really friendly and welcoming and knows so much about the area and has so many contacts to make your stay as active or restful as you want it to be. The accommodation is the top floor of the property. Pat lives in the rooms on the ground floor. It was really handy as a few times we needed help (plasters, painkillers, a torch) she was there. She has two dogs and they are a bit noisy but they wouldn't harm a fly. It is a bit of a walk to the beach. Downhill on the way and a bit hilly on the way back. I am a bit slow and it took me about half an hour. It is an interesting walk. Passing the nursery was the highlight with the children rushing to say hello. Passing a tailors gave us a point of reference for having some shirts made. We would get a tuk tuk back on an evening, costing £1. It is a residential area. About ten minutes up the hill takes you to the main road to Trivandrum where it is easy to get a tuk tuk or taxi. The accommodation had two bedrooms and bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The bathroom is a bit basic. There is instant hot water but it isn't attached to the shower, so we did have to have bucket showers. Turns out it isn't as bad as it sounds. There was a TV but it didnt work. Pat gave us access to a dongle so we could use the internet to make emails etc. However, most of the cafes on the beach front have wi-fi for about 20pence an hour, so it was easier to use theirs. The accommodation was not a 5* hotel but it had everything we needed and was clean. It was cleaned three times whilst we were there and they also washed some of our clothes. Pat arranged for a car to meet us at the airport so we got a really quick transfer. We weren't as near to the beach as we thought we wanted, but it turned out fine. It may not be luxurious, but it is more than functional and excellent value for money. This is highly recommended. You will be made very welcome.

How do damage deposits work?
