“Excellent cottage, home from home.”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2018

An unusually beautiful setting, the house is very comfortable and well appointed. Two small points, no axe to chop kindling and the upstairs sink and bath drain at the same rate as the ebb tide. ☺

Response from the manager Thank you James...so pleased you found the cottage comfortable and enjoyed the location. The sink and bath just needed a drop of drain unblocker pouring down and all is now well...no more ebb tide!!

“Great house in superb setting”

Really well equipped house situated in quiet location over looking harbour, short walk to castle & village also good location to visit the island & mainland sites. A great place to come back to after a days walking etc

“Lovely Location”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2017

Great house, perfect location. Plenty of firewood left for stove and other heating good at keeping house warm. Great for families with walk to the castle 2 minutes away.

“Attractive comfortable cottage.”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2016

Traditional outside appearance, sheltered garden, inside comfortable modern cottage style furniture & décor. Central heating & hot water systems worked well, beds comfortable with fairly firm mattresses. Big screen TV, occasionally signal breaks up. Wonderful views towards harbour, bridge & mainland. Friendly local people - cafes, shop, restaurant & pub within short walking distance. Good bus connections with rest of Skye. (But important to study timetables.) Watch out for incoming tide if you visit nearby ruins of Castle Moyle. Proprietor easily contacted and helpful.

“Tolle Aussicht, zentral gelegen, gemütliches Heim, das unsere Bedürfnisse abdeckt”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2016

“Fab base for visiting Skye”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2015

Moyle Cottage is delightful in every way. It's in a great location with lovely views of the harbour and the Skye bridge, is very peaceful yet close to the bars and restaurants in Kyleakin. If we didn't live so far away, we would return every year.
