Description

Lanark County, Ontario's newest accommodation/get-a-way is Circa 1894; a B&B and Guest House located in the Sunday School portion of a newly renovated former United Church in the Hamlet of Watson's Corners, outside the village of Lanark, an hour from Ottawa and 1 1/4 hours N of Kingston.

Circa 1894 boasts three ample sized guest rooms. Also included for the exclusive use of our guests is a sitting area with a lovely fireplace; a Satellite, large screen (40") TV; a well equipped kitchenette and three piece bath. As well, you have access to a two piece bath and change room showers. Both the Rose Room and the Moon Room offer queen sized comfort and harken you back to a bygone era with their antique dressers. The Spa Room features two single beds, both with pillow top mattresses and an in-room sink.

As part of the experience of renting the Guest House, Circa 1894 guests are welcome to enjoy the attached Circa 1894 Day Spa for no additional charge. Experience our saunas (we have three, NIR and FAR Infra-red and a Finnish) and our two hot tubs and, for the full Thermo-Therapy experience, a cool/cold tub or relax in the indoor quiet room or outside, beside the pond or on one of the three levels of decks.

We are all about sustainability and we'd be delighted to talk to you about how we achieve our goals. The entire unit is available for a family vacation for the introductory price indicated (or call to book individual rooms for $125.00 nightly - small extra fee to access spa). Because we are listed as a vacation rental, here, we block off availability if even one of the rooms is booked, so if you are looking to book one room only, it is worth a call, as one might well be available. Pricing is plus HST. A full breakfast, of course, is included.

For a small extra fee you can rent a robe, have lunch and/or afternoon tea, or try out oxygen therapy or have a NIR Infra red session. Come Pamper Yourself.

Seasonally, we also have 2 RVs available:

The first is a 27 ft. Golden Falcon, priced separately at $125.00 for 2, plus $50.00 per extra guest, which has a queen sized bed, plus a pullout sofa (double) bed, with three piece bath, living and dining areas, kitchenette, CD and cassette player, along with lots of 60s and 70s music, and a patio.

The second is a luxurious 30 ft. Coachmen Chaparral, built in 2012, with upscale leather seating, a pillowtop mattress and satellite flat screen TV. The nightly rate for the Coachmen is $150.00.

Come for a day or stay for a week.

All totalled, we can sleep 11 here at Circa 1894 and we are very flexible in regard to the availability of meals, so let us know your needs and we'll see what we can do. If you book the whole place, including the RV, we can discuss the possibility of closing the Day Spa to the public for the duration of your stay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
