Description

This is a private guest room and private bathroom set up as a suite, in a single story rancher in a quiet neighborhood. It’s our guest room so it’s NOT spacious but has everything you need! It has a very comfortable new queen bed. With a twin trundle underneath. New bedding. A 40” LCD TV with Comcast cable & starz. Full private bathroom adjacent to your room and full use of the living room and kitchen areas. We live in this home so you will hear us talking and living our normal life.

This is not a hotel, there isn’t any soundproofing in the walls and it may not be quiet 24/7 and we may have family members over to visit from time to time, because, we live in this home. If you do not want to be bothered with these family, normal day to day type of situations, then this may not be the rental for you. We have lowered our prices to reflect the tolerance of dogs, possible family members in the shared areas (never in your suite), and tv and voice noise. There is a door for your hallway so not just the bedroom is private but the bathroom is too. So both areas are behind a door with a lock. We have also provided a fan if you would like to use it to block out noise.

In full disclosure our home is in a manufactured home community, it is not a mobile home. I couldn’t move the home if I wanted to. The neighborhood is very established, mature, quiet, very sought after community due to the non existent crime rate in the community. Most residents are older and therefore are retired and have nothing but time to take immaculate care of their properties, yards, gardens and pets and be excellent neighborhood watchers.

If you are an animal lover I have 2 dogs. A 10 year old 4lb yorkie and A 1 year old 50 lb English bulldog. They are super friendly and lovers. Especially our bulldog puppy who has tons of energy and loves company. They have a crate for guests who are not dog people. The bulldog will be very excited to have guests over so be aware the first 15 minutes he’s gonna try and jump and lick to greet you. He will calm down. :-) he is still a puppy, so if you do not like excited dogs this may not be the rental for you.

The location is very central to everything. And in a very safe neighborhood. You would be 5 minutes to downtown Lancaster, 15 minutes to Spooky Nook, 15 minutes to the Amish and the Shopping Outlets and Dutch Wonderland, about 30 minutes to Hersheypark.

Clean and well decorated. I am an interior designer with OCD so you won’t smell dog or see dog hair. I also have a professional cleaner come every Monday to clean thoroughly.

It’s a guest room in a small house so it’s not a huge room. It does have a queen bed so that takes a lot of floor room up. If you need the trundle, there is very little room to move around once it’s pulled out. But we did build a new barn doorway so the door no longer interferes with the trundle and it’s easier to use and slides. You also have access the whole house to stretch out in, watch tv on a brand new 4K Smart 65” LCD with cable in the living room. PlayStation and I have the Nintendo Switch if you want to play. You can make some food, and use the room for sleeping. And use the closet for suitcases and tuck your personal items away in the empty dresser drawers. Most people don’t mind the size of the room unless you are trying to stuff too many people/pets, cuz then it can get tight. Most people find it cozy and comfy.

Your room also has a Wii game console, about 15 games and accessories. Also a DVD player.

We also have super high speed Internet, Hulu, Netflix, premium Comcast cable with Starz.

We have a large front deck. And an even larger back deck that feels like you are in a tree house. We are actually building a treehouse above the new deck. It is sturdy enough for adults. There is a hammock hanging under the tree house, and a rope ladder. There is also a tv outside and a grill, table set and sofa set for relaxing. There is a greenhouse in the backyard. Another hammock nestled between 2 pine trees for an excellent mid day book read and nap and excellent views of the country club behind the house. The backyard is awesome because it backs to a ravine and not neighbors. It’s got a great view with wisteria climbing the fences and lots of shade from the trees.

Feel free to use the appliances and washer and dryer, again we just ask you to be respectful like it was your own or a family members.

The way the house is setup, our bedroom and your bedroom are on opposite ends of the house. You may however hear a dog bark now and then, but they are trained so it has never been an issue. Your room backs to our living room so you may hear our living room tv. We really try to be mindful if we know guests are sleeping, but you may here our tv.

Train is within 5 miles. Airports are between 45-90 min away. Uber’s can get pricey. We have a lot of free parking in the area so I recommend bringing your car.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
