This pretty stone cottage is found in a beautiful spot, on the banks of the river Rance, very close to the pretty port of Dinan, but in a quiet location. The house is on two levels with three bedrooms , two bathrooms and sleeps up to six comfortably. An outside terrace and garden area overlook the river , perfect for enjoying long summer evenings or watching the boats go by. Very close to the port of Dinan which has a good selection of restaurants,bistros and cafés, but in a country setting , so peaceful and relaxing.

The rent includes tourist tax and heating/water charges. We can supply bed linen and towels for 20€ per person, or you are welcome to bring your own linen and towels.

The house will be cleaned and checked before you arrive, and you can either clean before leaving, or the end of stay clean service is 75€ .

Entering the ground floor there are two bedrooms ( one with a double bed and the second with two singles) next to a modern bathroom.

A flight of stairs lead to a large comfortable living area with log burner, sofa , armchairs and TV. A couple of steps lead to the kitchen with granite work surfaces, next to a light dining area with beautiful views over the river.

From the kitchen, a door leads to an attractive terrace with great views over the river.

On the second floor is a third bedroom with a double bedroom with shower room and WC.

The house has been renovated with a great deal of care and attention to detail including reclaimed wooden block flooring and hand crafted wooden doors.

Parking for two cars is available just outside the cottage.

The house is set on the banks of the river Rance, with a fence and gates to enclose the front garden.

“Location, location location”

Returning to this house for a second Easter stay as it is in the most wonderful location and sitting in the kitchen/diner or out on the decking as you watch the world drift by along the canal (in and out of the water!) is a very entertaining experience! The old port can be accessed on foot in five minutes for bakery, cafes and restaurants and bike hire, and the larger medieval town of Dinan in half an hour (a bit of a cobbled hill to climb though!) There are traffic free cycle routes in all directions. St Malo and Cancale(oysters half a euro each straight from the sea!) are really enjoyable and very easily accessed by car.The house itself is lovely although the 'comfy' seating/TV area is very basic especially with six people in residence. Also any form of bedside lighting downstairs would have been a bonus as would any form of heating in the second double bedroom!!! My Lord it was cold in the mornings! So, a perfect house if you are lucky enough to have really good weather (and don't need to come in and watch telly!) and you don't want to go to bed and get lost in a good book while on holiday. Go for the location and pray for good weather!

We stayed here in mid April and were unlucky enough to have mvery mixed weather - cold at night with frosts and heavy April showers. However the house was extremely comfortable and the log fires in the evenings made it all very warm and welcoming. The kitchen is well appointed and the glassed dining area is wonderful. It wasn't warm enough to sit out but the decked areas would be lovely on a sunny day. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The old port with its excellent restaurants is a shprt walk away and Dinan is worth exploring. The surroudning area is worth exploring also - Fougeres and St Malo and Dinard to name but a few.Ii would recommend ths cottage for adults and older children - not for young children though as the deep river is very close by and I wouldn't be happy to let children out alone.

“Peaceful and Relaxing with easy access to the Town”

We stayed for one week in August. I travelled with my husband and our 5 year old son. The house exceeded our expectations, it has an amazing location directly overlooking the river, so you can just sit and watch all the boats pass by. Easy walking access (2 mins) to the restaurants at the Port which was such a plus!.. The house is finished to exceedingly high standard and is a very flexible layout for small and larger groups alike. Direct access on to the walking and cycling routes to Lehon and the outdoor swimming pool. Beautiful house!

How do damage deposits work?
