pomegranate cottage one bedroom modern cottage . This cottage is brand new built in december 2015 Spacious garden . Includes BBQ area and kleftiko oven for those who enjoy one of Cyprus's traditional famous delicacies situated on kitchen side terrace ideal for dining with friends. Fully fitted modern European kitchen with all necessary appliances and cutlery. Situated in Lapta, close to the main road. 150 meters away on the Lapta seafront. Peaceful location (cul-de-sac) with sea and mountain views throughout. Access to a nearby hotel swimming pool is free of charge if you purchase food or drink, otherwise minimal entry fee. Serves hot and cold foods throughout the day. Specialieses in Turkish delicacies in its evening restaurant. Only 3 minutes walking distance to a nearby sandy beach., swimming pool and there is a Scuba diving center where you can Scuba dive. Also close by is another ideal location where you can enjoy fishing and water sports & tandem paragliding. Many Restaurants, bars & supermarkets nearby. Free welcome pack provided. Free wifi internet . Notes on accommodation: Your Electricity is not included. This is charged at cost per kw/hr direct from the meter. Readings taken at start and end of let. Payable to the caretaker. Smoking is not permitted within the cottage (outside only). Google Earth Location 35 21'04''N 33 09'21''E. Outside: Garden includes olive and of fruit trees. There is plenty of off street parking at the front and side of the cottage . Large terrace at front with a large stone table and chairs provided so you can sit out and enjoy the wonderful views day and night. Exterior lighting all round. The property is secured with stone walls and gates to prevent small children wondering outside unattended. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen for beds and towels are provided. Extra clean linen is provided weekly. Towels provided only on letting of cottage Free of charge . (Washing machine available in cottage the bedroom has fitted spacious wardrobes. double glazed windows. A/C. there is also a travel cot and a high chair.

Getting around

Lapta is a nice place to visit and drive around. You will find some excellent places to snap pictures. There are many old buildings and lovely vantage points where you can park your car and take in the sea views. St. John’s church has wonderful icons that date back to 1793 that are worth seeing. St Luke’s church has columns located in its garden which have been decorated in the Corinthian style. The columns are reportedly to have once stood in the ancient city of Lambusa. Although the Acheiropoietos Monastery cannot be accessed by the public anymore as it is currently being used by the Turkish military as an encampment and warehouse, it can be seen from different vantage points and is worth a mention

“Perfect summer holiday”

We very much enjoyed our one week stay in Pomegranate Cottage in Lapta and we are looking forward to return in the future to enjoy Berke and his family's hospitality again. Pomegranate Cottage is a new establishment and is equipped with everything that one would ever need for a great holiday. It really feels like being at home. There is a spacious American-style living room/kitchen with a comfortable sofa, Sony HD TV with USB input, perfectly reliable Wifi, water dispenser that accommodates 19 liter balloon, fridge, washing machine, and all kinds of kitchen cutlery to self cater. The bedroom is air-conditioned and it has a double bed with absolutely comfortable mattress and a wardrobe for your clothes. The bathroom has shower, toilet and a wash basin. There are fruit trees that separate the villas from each other, so the other guests are almost invisible to you. Parking is just outside nearby the road. No traffic at night at all, no noise. There is a relaxing, hotel-managed beach in just 5 minutes walking distance (Sempati Beach) The nearby family-run restaurant (Sevket's) is a welcoming place to enjoy a home-made Klefitko (let them know 5 hours before you arrive), kebabs, fish of the day, hummus etc. Highly recommended! There is also a pool attached to the restaurant which you are allowed to use if you eat/drink something at the restaurant. There is a fantastic meze place just a few minutes driving towards west on the left side opposite to a tyre shop called Alti Üstü Meyhane run by a really nice couple. Set menu available for 45 TL pp so much food that even the two of us could not finish the meals. Highly recommended! For lunch, we went to CafeCafe a few times on the right side not far towards Kyrenia. Overall, having spent our third vacation in Northern Cyprus/Kyrenia area, we can say that Berke's apartment exceeded our expectation, and we would honestly recommend the apartment to anyone who is looking for the perfect self-catering place to stay on holiday.
