Description

This house dates back to 1890 it was remodeled with comfort and spirit of the century, it is a pure example of taste and beauty. All the apartment rooms including the kitchen and the bathrooms are painted with Venetian Plaster, both the living room and two of the bedrooms have windows and balconies that overlook a small picturesque street that ends at the beautiful Convent of the Encarnação. This apartment is tastefully filled with mixed rustic and modern comfortable furniture, decorated with the famous St. Andrew crosses remnants of the fabulous work of the Marquês of Pombal.The dining room with its large windows provides a glimpse of part of the beautiful city of Lisbon.

This big property with 125 sqm, Rossio - Convento da Encarnação apartment, has the capacity for 8 persons with 3 bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and two bathrooms with shower cubicle. This apartment allows 2 additional single bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully-equipped, and is separated from the living room by a counter designed with recreating ancient wooden crosses of St. André. The living area has one sofa, a flat screen cable TV, coffee table and other furnishings. There is also a large dining table and chairs, should you decide to stay inside. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed, one of them measuring (1.60m x 2m) and the other (1.50m x 2m), and the third bedroom has 2 singles (0.90m x 2m).

Situated in the heart of Lisbon near Rossio Square, downtown Pombal and the famous Chiado / Bairro Alto, is inserted in a renovated 19th century building. Despite the proximity of down town one has the impression of being somewhere in the countryside thanks to the silence that prevails during all day. Nearby you’ll also find the Castle of St. Jorge, but also a great deal of Romanic ruins: Theatre and the Romanic Museum, the Lisbon Cathedral, many little typical but also cool bars and restaurants, fado clubs. The transport such as the metro and train are within 5 minutes so you can also visit the magical town of Sintra but if you decide to walk another 10 minutes you can also take a train (Cais do Sodré) to the beautiful beaches of the Estoril Coast, visiting Belém and the monastery of Jerónimos.

If you also want to visit Sintra you can easily catch the train on Rossio, or if you choose Belém , Carcavelos or even Cascais you can catch another train on Cais do Sodré ( 10 minutes walk from the apartment)
