In the heart of the neighbourhood where the Fado Queen Amalia Rodrigues was born, the newly renovated apartment in the traditional building recently remodelled is perfect for those who visit the city of Lisbon. The bedroom, which features a double bed, combined with a sofa bed in the living-room, make it very comfortable to house four people. Carefully decorated in a light and harmonious manner, the apartment, which is not suitable for children, is bright and comfy. From the traditional balcony, one can observe the surrounding architecture.
Due to the fact that this apartment has just been put up for short term rental, we await our first guests so that you can learn from them exactly how their stay was at our apartment! The living-room has a sofa bed, a curved TV with cable channels; The bedroom has a double bed (140 cm width), a desk and a closet; The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, Under Cabinet Range Hood; The bathroom has a shower – the apartment offers all the features to house properly those who plan to discover the ‘Seven Hills city’ or just stay at home comfortably and relax.
The apartment is located in the second floor of a building with no elevator.
There are several services available in that same street: restaurants, grocery stores, butcher, drug store, pharmacy, ATM, church, among others.
The apartment is perfect for those who aim to benefit from all that Lisbon has to offer, as it is just a 4 minute walk from downtown, and a 10 minute walk from the Chiado area, both of undoubtable historic, cultural, artistic, gastronomic and commercial value. The Bairro Alto, a residential area famous for its many restaurants and night life, is a small walk away; as well as the traditional neighborhood of Alfama, showcasing its narrow streets, steep stairways, clothes hanging by the windows and colorful tiles.
The subway is located 5 minutes away by foot, and it is ideal to move around town. The famous ‘Eletrico 28’ (traditional tram), which swirls around some of the most iconic features of Lisbon, is only five minutes away. To visit the village of Sintra, the train which departures from the legendary Rossio train station is just seven minutes away by foot. Cascais is also reachable by train, it is actually a very beautiful ride by the sea, departing from Cais do Sodré train station, about 1.5 Km away. Buses and taxis are also nearby.
It is also possible to book the entire building for groups up to 16 people, divided into the four apartments – please contact the property manager to benefit from special conditions.
Check in Home notifies that it is mandatory to submit Accommodation Forms (‘Boletins de Alojamento’) declaring the entry of foreign citizens to SEF (Portuguese Immigration and Borders service), for all citizens entering the country through a border with no control, coming from another country within the European Union.
Check in Home will arrange for this proceeding, but for this it is required the presentation of an official identification document, such as passport or ID of all the guests, with the following details:
- Place of Birth
- Place where you live
- City where the passport was issued
The Forms are due three week days upon foreign guests’ arrival and exit. The deadline is calculated considering three whole days starting on the day of the check-in or check-out, regardless the hours marked when the registration occurred.
Both the display of identification and registration are mandatory for accommodation.
All personal data are dealt with absolute discretion and confidentiality.
From 7 april 2017 Lisbon Authorities implemented a new city tax. This tax is 1 € per person, per night and it is not included in the global price of your accommodation. It should be paid on arrival in cash.
This tax is charged to guests aged over 13 years old and the maximum limit per stay is of 7 € per person.
According to the Portuguese Law, each guest will be asked to fill out a housing form with personal data: name, date of birth, place of residence, passport number or other legally authorized document.
We kindly ask that this procedure is completed at the time of checkin.

“Great appartment,clean and great location.”
Great appartement for two people. José greeted us after we were delayed for two hours. We arrived at midnight and he took the time to give us infomation about Lisbon and answer our questions. The flat was very clean,very well equipped and light. The stairs to the flat are quite steep,but after you have spent a day walking round Lisbon they seem normal. Lots of restaurants nearby which are away from the tourist traps. Simple fresh food and resonable prices. Small grocery stores nearby for the basics. Great position for walking to the Rossio area and from there easy access to the rest of Lisbon. Highly recommended and would happily stay there again on my next visit to Lisbon.
