Description

This house is located in the centenary neighborhood of Estrella d'Ouro, in Graça district, Lisbon. Built in 1908 with the purpose to give accommodation to the local factory employees, the neighborhood is symbolized by a peculiar five-pointed star that can be found as a decorative element in the portuguese sidewalk and in the several houses facades.

Situated in one of the Lisbon hills, the Estrella d'Ouro neighborhood is considered as a landmark (and a rarity) and is daily visited by countless tourists, being part of the city walking tourist routes.

Located also between the Belvederes Senhora do Monte and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen (better known as Graça Belvedere), it has only in 100mt farway one of the main Tram 28 stations, that in 5 min will take you to Alfama, Castle, Downtown or Martim Moniz area.

By staying in Estrella d'Ouro House you will have easy access, by walk, to local attractions as S. Vicente de Fora Monastery, Feira da Ladra (main antiques market in Lisbon), National Phanteon (Sta. Engrácia), Saint Luzia Belvedere, Lisbon Sé Cathedral and even to Saint George Castle.

The house is a 1st Floor with open view and lots of privacy, with 45m2 has natural light during all day. It can sleep 4 people (adults and/or children) and it is fully equipped and furnished. Has TV and Internet 4G Wi-fi access. Its architecture is typical Lisbon, with more than 3mt tall ceilings, original shutters fully recovered and frosted glass ceiling in the bathroom, a curiosity that will lead you to a shower full of natural daylight.

Come and meet the daily way of living in a typical Lisbon neighborhood, receive "Good Morning" from the local neighbors and enjoy all kind and traditional trade shops (restaurants, tascas, Fado houses, bars, supermarkets, grocery, etc) only 2 steps from your door. How would the local people say "Graça is Beautiful!".

“Truly amazing apartment in the heart of the city!”

The flat is a very nice two bedroom plus dining room cosy apartment in the heart of Lisbon (I should also mention - super clean!). Situated very close to the highest viewing point in Lisbon, easily accessible by public transport or walking from the most important landmarks of the city. You can opt either for a nice stroll on the lovely little streets or take the famous 28 tram which stops within 2 min from the flat and can take you on a lovely tour of the city. There are lost of shops (including a very well equipped supermarket) and cafes very close to the flat but at the same time the building is situated in a small alley so the windows are not overlooking the busy streets - it's peaceful and quiet. Most importantly, however, the kindness and hospitality of the flat owners were truly amazing! They left us a lovely fruit basket full of fresh local product, bottle of wine, pasta, rice, etc.Rooms are very nicely furnished, there is a TV and super fast internet. Kitchen is sully equipped with toaster, all the utensils, glasses, cups, pots and pans, washing machine, cooker, fridge, microwave and there is even a coffee machine which makes proper Portuguese espresso and lovely tea :-). They were very friendly and contact with them was very easy (fluent English speakers). Whether you are staying just for few days or planning to stay for few weeks I am sure that you will be happy there! Anna

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Filipa (the owner) a message.

If Filipa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
