Description

Honeysuckle Cottage is located on the edge of a very small hamlet in La Creuse, up a private drive set in gorgeous gardens.

If its bars and entertainment you want La Creuse is not for you , but if you are looking for pure relaxation , peace and quiet and somewhere to recharge your batteries Honeysuckle Cottage is just perfect!

The owners live there with their 3 lovely dogs, Max, Marika and Henry and their lovely chickens and will help you to settle in and share their knowledge of the area to make sure your visit is very enjoyable.

A welcome pack ( bread, milk,tea, coffee and croissants ) is included in the weekly price and a 3 course dinner including a bottle of wine can be delivered to your gite for €25 per person ordered with 24 hours notice

To help ensure you sleep soundly in the gorgeous king size brass bed with luxury mattress we offer a choice of pillows !

The bathroom has a gorgeous walk in shower and includes fresh thick bath towels and hand towels.

Honeysuckle Cottage is situated 5kms from Mainsat which has a boulangerie , pharmacie and a boucherie/general store and about 15kms from the nearest town with supermarket etc.

We like to think of La Creuse as the "real" France where you can mingle with the locals at the markets and sample the best of rural France , the Times newspaper published a great review of the region in 2015 where it described The Limousin as France's secret area which you can read online !

Why can't I call Amanda (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Amanda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
