Description from owner

Isolated and surrounded by olive trees and pines, while at the same time close to the wonderful shingle beaches and hidden coves with crystal clear sea, as well as all the necessary facilities for a carefree and fun vacation - this villa has an ideal location. It takes only 5 minutes by foot to get to the beaches, which all have deep pine trees shade. Various restaurants are located 300m from the villa along the beach promenade and tennis courts are in the vicinity. There is a forest trail for walking, jogging and cycling, starting from a place near the villa. Four bicycles are available to you. There is also a small, newly-built gym in the backyard.

Villa Nina (104m2) is a completely new house built in a rustic style. It provides all the necessary comfort for 4+1 people (there is a small double bed in the living room). It has two bedrooms with double beds, a smaller room with a sofa, two bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi tub, the other with a shower and a bidet), a living room with LCD TV, a kitchen and a dining room. The house is equipped with a washing machine, a stove, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, an iron and an ironing board, a hairdryer.

The area around the house is about 400m2 and it includes a big garden with olive trees, Mediterranean herbs and fruit trees, two parking spaces, a 4m2 whirlpool for 6 people, an outdoor shower, a small gym, 4 loungers, as well as a terrace with a dining table that can easily accommodate 8 people on the surrounding benches and chairs. The terrace is the place where you can also enjoy yourself while making a barbecue on the outdoor wood grill (the wood is at your disposal).

There are no neighbouring houses, except a small weekend cottage of a local owner 30m away. Apart from the serenity, sea air combined with fragrant, evergreen vegetation provides a healthy environment, especially for people suffering from respiratory problems. Those wishing to escape briefly from the summer heat can make an excursion to Biokovo, where they can enjoy fresh mountain air, a magnificent view at an altitude of 1760m and breathtaking sunsets. We are convinced that you will thoroughly enjoy this unique place and create wonderful memories!

The house is available from May 16th till October 16th. During your holiday, we are available to you 24/7 if you need any help or advice.Minimum stay during the period from 6th June till 11th September is one week (7 days). Arrival and departure of guests is in that case always on a Saturday, with departure until 10 am and arrival from 4 pm. We take into consideration families with children, couples and groups of people who are 30+. The price includes final cleaning. Pets and indoor smoking are not allowed.

The nearest grocery store is about 400m away, while the supermarket is located around 1,5km from the villa. WiFi is available at a nearby cafe place.

The house is situated between resort towns Makarska and Tučepi: approximately 1,5km from the bigger, vibrant town of Makarska and about 500m from the smaller, charming Tučepi. Makarska is an old town with around 14 000 inhabitants, sprawling along a horseshoe shaped bay between the Biokovo mountain and the Adriatic Sea. The second largest city in Croatia – Split, with its awe-inspiring Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage Monument – is only an hour drive away, either by bus or car. Also, it takes a 3.5-hour drive to get to Dubrovnik, another spectacular city with its UNESCO protected Old Town, better known today as King's Landing from the popular TV series Game of Thrones. Those in search of an active vacation can go mountaineering, paragliding or horse riding on Biokovo, rafting on the river Cetina in Omiš (half an hour drive from the villa), sailing, diving (there are numerous diving schools both in Tučepi and Makarska), play volleyball… Those who want additional cultural experiences can travel to Mostar (a 2-hour drive), one of the most important cities of the neighbouring country Bosnia and Herzegovina; a city known for its mixture of Christian and Islamic architecture. Excursion boats and ferries to the picturesque islands Brač, Hvar and Korčula are also going daily from Makarska.

Very Good

“Fantastic Villa in a lovely quiet location”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2016

This villa is absolutely lovely and in a quiet location just 10 minutes walk from Tucepi. The villa itself is quite small but big enough for four adults. Outside there is a lovely barbecue area with plenty of space for preparing and cooking as well as a large table and benches. Four sun loungers are provided and they can be arranged around the hot tub! If the weather is really hot there is also a cold shower nearby! What makes this place extra special is the wine cellar! The owners were very friendly and showed us all around when we arrived. They could not have been more helpful. They were rightly proud of the villa and especially the wine cellar. One minor issue is the road up to the villa which is unmade and rocky. We would thoroughly recommend this villa if you want a quiet retreat that is way from the village but only 10 minutes walk.

Owner's reply: Dear Dave, we are really happy to hear that you liked our place and thoroughly enjoyed your stay. It's good that you pointed out the rocky road - it is going to be "modernized" this winter in order to ensure easier access to the house. Thank you for being such considerate guests and for taking care of the villa as if it were your own! We would love to welcome you again in the future.
