Conveniently located on the edge of the historical seaside village of Maleme, Summer Lodge, an attractive, family run vacation lodging is a fine example of traditional Greek architecture. Only 5 Kms from the centre of Platanias and 16 Kms west of Hania town, is the ideal starting point for the visitors requiring a wide variety of sandy beaches, water sport activities, peaceful countryside walks, or interesting visits in archaeological and historical sites.
With the tremendous advantage of being no more than 400 meters by footpath to the long, quiet beach of Maleme, mostly sandy but also pebbly and a number of nearby tavernas as well as a supermarket and other shops, the situation couldn't be more convenient and car hire, although useful, is not essential. The superb 10m x 5m pool is surrounded by sun terraces and is supplied with patio furniture and sun lounges. Beyond the pool and shaded by trees and a pergola is a pretty terrace where breakfast is served any time you please and a small bar serving cool drinks in the hot summer evenings. While enjoying your stay with us, take the opportunity for the following on site or nearby attractions & activities: Amusement water park, local festivals & live music, historical interests, sandy beaches, nature-picnic area, lake & national parks, antique shopping, museums & art galleries, traditional cuisine & fine dining. Swimming & water sports, fishing & diving, windsurfing & boat tours, mini golf, hiking trails, sight seeing tours, tennis courts, horseback riding, bird watching, mountain biking, car & motor-bike rental.

“A place to come back to.”
Summerlodge is a very nice and cozy place. We will never forget the first time we came there. Nice houses in really Greek style and a pretty garden. To sit in their pergola and get breakfast, or other things during the day, is really relaxing. Vassilis and his family are all very nice, caring and helpful too. Whatever you ask for, they will try to help you.

Very nice ,small garden with a small pool,breakfast served under the trees, and the orangejuice and the coffee...makes me want to go back again! We have stayed here 4 times, but the owners make you feel like old friends fr the beginning and are always very friendly and service minded! The beds are a bit hard, but otherwise the rooms are nice, quite big and has a fridge! There is'nt much to do in Maleme but you don't go there for party... good food at the restaurants down at the beach and never crowded, that's the best part! If you want to have a really relaxing vacation in a wonderful little spot,with few other peoples and no noice... this is the perfect place!

- How do damage deposits work?
In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

- How do I edit my booking?
You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Vassilis & Revekka (the owner) a message.
If Vassilis & Revekka (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
