Tomar- Martinchel, Ribatejo, Portugal

The recently renovated guesthouse, located near the lake Castelo de Bode near Tomar, in the center of Portugal, is available for short or longer stays. The guesthouse got restored with durable materials in a traditional style, with double glazing and is situated in a calm area with a beautiful view on the contryside. It offers a space for short or long stays. The guesthouse has an open living room with a kitchen and tiled flooring. Heat will be provided by an traditional wood burner which heats the whole house during winter months.

There is a television, a DVD player and a selection of games for the entertainment of guests.

The kitchen is completely equipped with built-in kitchen appliance. The work surface is in granite. There's an electric oven, a four ring gas stove, a kitchen extractor fan, a fridge with built in freezer compartment, a microwave oven, a toaster, a coffee maker, a Nespresso machine, a juice machine and a kettle.

The guesthouse also has a washing machine located in a adjacent building with drying and ironing facilities.

The bathroom is located near the living room and is partially tiled, with a traditional wooden ceiling. it is equiped with a sink, a toilet and a shower cabin.

There are 2 bedrooms situated on the first floor, which is reachable by a wooden staircase. There's a big room with a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a nightstand. The second bedroom has 2 single beds (that can be joined to form double bed), a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a nighstand.

The guesthouse has a private terrace and a completely closed backyard with a barbecue. It also has a private parking place and a private entrance.

Este sitio paradisiaco "quinta do feonix" num cantinho de uma vila chamada Martinchel perto de Tomar, foi o que escolhemos para um fim de semana a dois. Foi uma escolha acertada, tem tudo ... Tem mesmo tudo, ambiente acolhedor, paz, excelente anfitriã, fantásticos roteiros tanto pedestres como de carro, toda a informacao para podermos disfrutar de todas as maravilhas que nos circundam, e ao fim de um dia fora a passear pela riquissima beleza desta pedacinho de Portugal nada melhor que disfrutar de uma fantastica refeição caseira no fantastico jardim da quinta, préviamente encomendada . The experience starts when passing Barragem do Castelo de Bode and it´s spechless lake. Arriving Quinta do Foenix: the surprise to find a pitoresque Portuguese House on top of a hill, and breath the clean non spoiled atmosphere in between the hills. We then met Anne Sophie, a bright courageous friendly owner Lady, who gently wellcomed us . The house is cozy, simply very well decorated hosting us for a romantic and peacefull stay. Thank you for the proficient service quality and the great meal we had there - uau! Thank you Anne Sophie - it really was the state of mind we needed and certainly the place we will for sure be back soon.

“Excelente casa para férias em família”

sem dúvida um óptimo achado mesmo em cima da ida para férias com o meu marido e 2 filhos (10 meses e 4 anos). Um golpe de sorte! A Anne-Sophie recebeu-nos muitíssimo bem, tendo-nos oferecido à chegada uns excelentes ovos, azeite e mel da região! A casa está muito bem equipada. Para quem viaja com crianças/bebes tínhamos tudo: cadeirinha, berço, brinquedos para o bébe, brinquedos para o mais velho (adorou conhecer o Monopólio), muitos DVDs. E a casa super quentinha em todas as divisões. Da próxima vez só nos falta experimentar o grelhador no exterior. Acrescento ainda que é muito central, perto de inúmeros pontos de interesse.

“Morgonsol på terrassen”

Jag bodde i den bekväma lägenhetsdelen mitt emot stugan och hade strålande morgonsol på terrassen varje morgon (i november!). Stor dubbelsäng och fräscht badrum, varje morgon serverades nybakad frukost som värdinnan åkte och handlade på det lokala bageriet (från smörgåsar på nybakat bröd med ost och skinka till chokladcroissanter). Stor blomstrande trädgård som är uppdelad, en del för hennes snälla hundar och en del för gäster. På kvällarna lyste blodröda solnedgångar (se bild). Detta boende/resemål lämpar sig utmärkt för par, vänner eller för den som reser ensam och söker lugnet. Även barnfamiljer då det finns många lokala sevärdheter i nära anslutning. Bilburen är bra att vara. Quinta do Feonix ligger ca. 1,5 timme från flygplatsen i Lissabon och representerar ett mer genuint Portugal. Dessutom billigt - en trerätters middag på goda råvaror + vin kostade ca. 15 euro. Hade en underbar weekend på den portugisiska landsbygden och jag ser fram emot att återvända!

Högt upp i mitten av Portugal ligger denna fantastiska retreat 75 minuter med bil från Lissabon. Här finns mycket att se och uppleva inom 50 km radie. Smakfullt inredda rum med högsta standard året runt. Servicen är exceptionell. Vi kunde få frukost serverad på rummet eller i trädgården hela förmiddagen. En utsökt middag med lokala specialiteter serverades i gästhuset vilken jag sent kommer att glömma. Här kan jag stanna i veckor och njuta av det lantliga och avstressande livet, lyssna till tystnaden vid sidan om allfartsvägarna eller åka runt till små sevärda städer vilka erbjuder en unik upplevelse speciellt om man som jag besöker området off season. Då är området fritt från turister och man kommer det genuina livet närmare. Värdinnan kommer från Belgien och talar utmärkt engelska. Hon anstränger verkligen för att man ska få en oförglömlig vistelse. Jag kan rekommendera denna pärla på det varmaste.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Anne-Sophie (the owner) a message.

If Anne-Sophie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
