Description

Named, The Doctors Office (because that's what it was built as around 1860) our cottage is on the grounds of The Inn at Abbott Farm. A sweet and charming space that sets right by the creek, the Dr.s office has been transformed into a classic yet cool space while maintaining it's historic dignity. The one main space features a murphy bed and modern couch; enough room for 4 but 2-3 is best. A small, yet fully furnished kitchen complete with stove, sink, microwave, toaster oven and of course, coffee maker. A generous sized bathroom complete with an antique pedestal iron tub. Cook for yourselves or have breakfast with us in the main house (an additional $10.00 per person)

The cottage is a mere 4 miles from the Lost River State Park, a stunningly beautiful forest where you can swim, hike, picnic or ride a horse. The Lost River area also has yoga, massage, very cool shopping (check out The Lost River Trading Post in Wardensville)and hunting.

Our home and Inn is also our own working farm. Feed the chickens, ducks and turkeys or collect eggs. Or have nothing to do with the animals at all and just set by the creek with a great book. Play croquet or badminton or horseshoes. Perhaps set a spell in the wildflower garden?

Why can't I call Lisa (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lisa (the owner) a message.

If Lisa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
