- our newly built, detached, single flat house, with garage and garden guarantees you'll have all the comfort and privacy you need to make the most out of your vacation.

- interior was designed with love and passion, so our esteemed guests would get the warm feel of home right from the doorstep – unlike usual emotionless accommodation.

- you are welcome to use the-50 sq-meter-living space and park your car in spacious garage. Also, there is a patio and a beautiful garden with barbecue at your disposal.

- The beauty of The Garden House's location lies in the fact, that, while secluded from the view, and as private as possible, it is still in the center of Matulji – a small, but conveniently located town at the entrance of the Kvarner bay.

- We would like to encourage you to bring your dog, as this is a dog/pet friendly property.

Why stay in Matulji?

If you want a perfect base for your exploration of Istria, Rijeka, Kvarner islands (Krk, Cres, Lošinj) and Gorski Kotar region, then Garden House Matulji is your top choice. Here are approximate relations, with a car – Rijeka (10 minutes), central Istria (30 minutes), west coast of Istria (1 hour), mountain Ucka - nature park (20 minutes), Opatija/Lovran (15 minutes), island Krk (30 minutes), Gorski Kotar (30-40 minutes, depending where you go). As you can see, within one hour drive there are numerous points of interest. Matulji is close to main highway and railway routs, so you can travel in and out really fast, with the benefit of bypassing the rush in Rijeka (third largest city in Croatia).

Matulji are few kilometers away from the sea, on the altitude of 240 meters. This means that its climate is a tad milder than of towns directly by the sea. And it translates into much better rest during those hot summer nights. Also, nearest beaches are 10-minutes' drive away, so you are never far from a refreshing dip in the Adriatic sea.

Besides being ideal starting point for your Kvarner and Istra excursions, Matulji also offer few places where you can go grab a quick bite, have a few drinks or a dessert. You'll find a gas station, a bakery, a bank (with ATM), a post office, a sport's hall and a supermarket – all within 5 minutes' walk from The Garden House. Also, there is a Tourist Info office at your disposal just across the street.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Zorko (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
