Description

This semi detached Bungalow with family size swimming pool is well situated within easy walking distance to the restaurant/bar complex which has a beautiful communal pool, tennis courts, petanca pitches and also is close to the proposed golf course. The Bungalow is brand new with air conditioning which can be used as heating in the winter. In an excellent location only a couple of minutes walk to the bar/restaurant and communal pool.

There are breath taking views of the mountains and the Bungalow is enhanced by a pretty landscaped garden with lemon and orange trees.

The swimming pool is key hole shaped with a shallow end and deep end. The shallow end is 1m deep with steps going into the water which is safe for children to paddle. The deep end is 1.7m.

On the terrace are sun loungers and a stone table and chairs which is lovely for sitting at whilst barbecuing. There is a brick built barbeque by the pool. The communal swimming pool is a 5 min walk from the house which also has a lovely restaurant and tennis courts on site.

In the utility area, there is a full size fold up table tennis table that can be wheeled out and put up at the end of the swimming pool.

House rules

Please make sure that you shower in the outside pool shower before entering the pool as the pool will get clogged up with sun lotion and become murky and oily. This will result in the pool needing an extra clean and will be taken out of your breakage deposit.

If you take any dogs, please make sure they do not go in the pool, on the beds or on the sofa.

“Mejor imposible”

Increíble estancia mejor imposible. Todo genial playa cerca,pueblo cerca. Lo mejor de todo poder viajar con mi perro sin ningún problema y sin coste adicional. El único problema es la tasa de limpieza que es alta. Asi y todo Repetiremos segurisimo. Gracias Tracey.

Owner's reply: Thanks for 5 star review! Please visit our villa again. In response to the cleaning fee being high, unfortunately it is out of my hands as it is set by the cleaning people but this fee does include being personally met at the villa with the key whatever time you arrive and so also having the opportunity to answer any queries you may have. The cleaning is also of high quality and I only use the best high thread count sheets and good quality towels.

“Ideal winter retreat”

Casa Drum is situated in a very quiet location, with very pleasant and friendly neighbours. We spent 3 months there from January to April, with our two small dogs and have rebooked for next year. The bungalow is small but well equipped with good wifi and tv, and a secure garden for the dogs, just across the road are miles of walkies. It was too cold to use the pool but we had many meals in the sunshine in the garden. Tracey, the owner, was always contactable and helpful. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We enjoyed an excellent break in this clean and tidy holiday home in a quiet location. The property had all the essentials for your holiday and a great private pool on the Mazarron Country Club. Transport is essential with all the usual supermarkets, restaurants, bars and beaches easily accessible, but not within walking distance. A very quiet location that allows easy access to a great variety of different locations and attractions to suit both families, with great beaches within a few minutes drive and towns and national parks to add variety.

The Country Club is a bit out of the way and a car is essential, there is no shop on site but there is a decent supermarket up the road (5 mins) on the camposol development along with a huge hardware store that sells everything !! There are more supermarkets in Puerto de Mazarron including a LIDL. The area is typically Spanish with a friendly feel, it is very busy in July and August though and parking near the beachesor in the town is more difficult. Our holiday started badly, we had advised the owner of our flight details and given contact details to phone the keyholder when we were 20 mins away from the villa so that we could be met - the keyholder was unreachable! Eventually after about 30 mins they called me and said someone would be there in 20 mins, we then waited almost an hour. That was very stressful with two young children who had been travelling all day. My impression of the villa was that it had been lovingly kitted out but was now a bit tired! The DVD player was not working, all the crockery was odd, the patio furniture and sunbeds were well past their best,( I went and bought a tablecloth to cover the outside table) the bedding was worn (duvet covers used as sheets) and the leather sofas were grubby. There is only one airconditioning unit and that is in the lounge, the bedrooms only have fans and were so warm when we were there in August that we found it hard to sleep. The villa is located over the road from the communal bins which were not emptied enough during our stay and the smell some days was very bad. The site management need to ensure that rubbish is collected more frequently at peak times. The pool was lovely and we spent a lot of time in it, this was the best thing about the villa. It is a good location for a quiet relaxing holiday and good value for money, the owner has said the patio furshings and bedding are due to be replaced so I assume this will not be an issue in future. The main reason I would not return in July / August is the lack of airconditioning in the bedrooms and the smell from the bins, although these would not be an issue at other times.

Owner's reply: Having rented out our villa for the past 7 years and not having had nothing but 100% feedback, we were surprised with the review that this client has left. We have spoken to the keyholder who has assured us that this was a one off incident, its never happened before and hasn’t happened since. They are always ready for our clients and know exactly what time to expect them to the villa. The DVD has been mended and the patio furniture and sunbeds have been replaced as was due to happen anyway. The airconditioning unit has always been enough in the villa and is placed where it reaches both bedrooms, again this hasn’t been a problem for anyone in the past. The bin collection also hasn’t been an issue and weve been there for the whole summer and not experienced any ‘bad’ smells. We love our villa and it is our ‘second’ home, its well looked after and gets a new lick of paint every year before the season starts. Anything that needs replacing gets replaced immediately. I feel these clients had just been unlucky. It is a charming urbanisation based in a truly beautiful part of spain.

How do damage deposits work?
