Description from owner

COMFORTABLE VILLA just outside Medieval Miravet

Experience the other Spain in a beautiful spacious detached villa on a private fenced property of 1,5 ha. with 2 magnificent terraces of 80 m2, sun terraces and a garden. Here you can charge your battery, remain oneself and settle down . . .

The whole environment radiates authenticity and a wonderful form of natural life, where people follow life’s rhythm without being in a hurry. It is a place to feel at home.

The villa has a big kitchen-breakfast room of 26 m2, a living of 50 m2, 2 toilets, spacious shower cabinet. 2 big bedrooms of 26 m2 and decorated very tastefully. The villa has central heating and air-conditioning.

The 75 m2 pool situated on a separate terrace of 2000 m2 is only shared with the cottage.

The villa is just outside the medieval, picturesque village of Miravet with a Templar's castle and potteries, at the river Ebro in a big valley with almond, cherry, peach and olive trees.

Miravet is famous for handmade pottery, the traditional way of living and the various historic buildings.

There is a small supermarket, a bakery with an enormous antique wood burned stone oven, a restaurant with fresh food and the terraces at the Ebro invite for a cup of coffee or just watching the flow of the river.

Walking from the rental house you have fabulous views on the castle and the antique part of Miravet, where the river Ebro meanders.

Mora d´Ebre Sporting & Shopping

In Mora d´Ebre, at 8 kilometers of Miravet there are tennis courts open the whole year, an indoor sport centre with swimming, squash, fitness and other activities. You will also find all 3 well equipped supermarkets, small fashion shops, shoe shops, a trendy wine bar, health food shops and a hospital with excellent medical care.

Extra information

Villa Eden can be rented for a longer period. The house iswell insulated and has central heating. From the 1st of November till the 1st of April we have special rates as from a minimum period of a month.

Winter in Spain is mild and often you can lunch outside and enjoy a nice temperature, the pleasant light en clear blue skies.

Dogs are allowed in both accommodations in mutual agreement with the owner.

Smoking is only permitted outside.

Beaches Costa Dorada

On 30 minutes’ drive you find the Costa Dorada in Hospitalet del Infant. Most of which have been given ¨Blue Flag¨ status, that indicates that the beaches and water are clean. Along the mainly quiet beaches you find restaurants and a pleasant atmosphere.

Horta San Juan

Picasso lived in Horta San Juan in his youth and it is the town where he started his cubism period. The centre Picasso D´Orta is a museum dedicated to Picasso´s early work and is worth visiting.

Benifallet has six caves two of which are open to the public: the Cova del Dos and the Cova Meravelles. In the cave you can find between the eroded formations, the ¨woman without a head¨, ¨the Cow¨, ¨the Dragon¨, ¨the Bear¨ and ¨the Brocoli¨.

Wine area Priorat

The Priorat wine route goes through a small remote beautiful region, surrounded by the Montsant. This area has been given a D.O.Q (Denominación de Origen Controlada) in 1954 and since then the Priorat wine is world famous and one of Spain´s best wine regions. The grapes grow on steep slopes up to 700 meter and the distinguishing flavour of the wine comes from the extreme temperatures during cold winters, dry summers and the slate soil.

The remote villages up high steep mountains radiate an otherworldly energy that once you visit you don´t want to leave.

Kayak on the Ebro

An ideal way to be in nature is to kayak down the river Ebro. The peaceful tempo of the kayak through the water gives you the opportunity to explore the environment in absolute serenity and safety and challenges your stamina.

In Mora d´Ebre you can hire kayaks for 1, 2 or 4 persons.

Via Verde

The literal meaning of Via Verde is Green Road. In Spain there are areas nominated as Via Verde with their own history. The walking and cycling paths have in common that all originated from disused old railway lines altered into flat surfaces. The Via Verde is forbidden to motorized vehicles and is dedicated for walkers and cyclists. The Ebro Delta route, 100 km, between Tortosa and Arnes goes through Miravet, with minor differences in altitude.

Via Ferrada

Via Ferrada means ¨iron road¨ and is a parcour with steel cables with runs along cliffs. The steel clables are fixed to the clif every 6 to 10 meters with hooks as a safety tool for the enthusiast. On the more difficult parts there are support and safety tools such as iron rungs, pegs, carved steps, ladders, ropes and even bridges. The Via Ferrada combines hiking with climbing. The Via Ferrada combines hiking with climbing. In the mountains of Montblanc – Tarragona there are 2 Via Ferradas: Les Venes de Rojalons and La Feixa del Colom.
