Description

The gite is a recently converted stone barn which incorporates the traditional Quercy stone and exposed beams with modern day convenience. The large open plan living area leads out directly to the patio and salt water pool. There are private eating areas and freedom to walk around the grounds. The twin beds can be converted to a super king if preferred. The gite has 2 ensuite bathrooms - one with a bath with shower over, the other with a walk in shower. Perfect for families or 2 couples.

Situated just outside Montaigu de Quercy - a lively market town with all the amenities a holiday maker needs and a leisure lake with sandy beach just a couple of kilometres away.

Jan and John live on site so are always there to meet and greet you and to deal with any queries which may arise during your stay. We aim to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible and provide you with information on places to visit, events and where to avoid! We ensure the cleanliness of the pool and outdoor spaces throughout your stay and help with any housekeeping issues. Along with our 3 cats we like to be sociable with our guests but the gites are independent from the house so if privacy is there is you prefer

“Super Gite and Gorgeous Pool”

Jan & John are fantastic hosts who anticipated our every need before and during our stay. Jan is great communicator who is pleased to answer any question and is keen to provide everything you might need for a brilliant holiday. The gite is large, comfortable and very well equipped, with lots of books, games and DVDs, so absolutely brilliant for families. The pool is scrupulously clean, with plenty of loungers and inflatables or the kids. The setting is charming with a lovely meadow behind the pool, and you can take a rural walk to town through the woods in about 20 mins. The little town has all the necessary amenities, including some decent restaurants and a great boulangerie. The wider area has lots to do with the swimming lake nearby (you can also hire pedaloes, canoes etc), lots of beautiful medieval towns, and endless gorgeous, lush countryside. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the gite and pool to other families. A big thank you again to Jan & John who really went the extra mile to ensure we had a great holiday.

Pool temperature is still 26 degrees... but you wont want to hear that now back at work and school. All the supermarkets have srarted their wine sales - worth noting september a great time to buy wine!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
