--- The Garden Cottage ---

You will love the cosy athmosphere and the big garden of this cottage located only 10 minutes from Old Montreal and downtown, close to the Atwater Market and Lachine Canal.

With its 4 bedrooms and approximately 2000 square feet, the Garden Cottage is perfect for families or large groups. It is ideal for groups of 8 to 10 guests but can accommodate up to 14 guests. Note: if you are a very big group, we also own the building right next to the Garden Cottage so you could take both houses.

The "Garden Cottage" is displayed on three levels and offers:

- 4 spacious closed bedrooms (3 upstairs and 1 downstairs) for a total of 8 guests. 3 bedrooms have comfortable Queen size beds and the ground floor bedroom has a bunk bed with 2 twin beds.

- 2 sofa-beds for 4 more guests.

- 2 mattresses to be put on floor in the basement for 2 more guests.

- 2 bathrooms (1 upstairs with bath and 1 downstairs with shower) and 2 toilets

- a huge BACKYARD with a terrasse & BBQ

- free and easy PARKING on both sides of this calm residential one way street

- a play area for children in the basement and a beautiful playground one block away.

We tried to mix the best of "old and new" ! The cottage was built in 1870 so it has a lot of character: original wooden floors and brick walls.

The kitchen and dining room are on an open-space concept to maximise natural light. The table seats 8 to 12 guests. A dishwasher, microwave and all you need to cook is provided.

The huge garden with BBQ and patio set is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal with friends, and all parents know it's heaven to have a backyard when you have children!

The cottage is located on a residential street, so it's very quiet at night.

INCLUDED: Air Conditioning, HD TV with cable, high speed Wi-Fi internet, washer and dryer, linens and towels for 14 guests, all you need to cook.

NOT INCLUDED: Personal items such as body soap, shampoo toothpaste and toothbrushes, facecloths. Slippers should be brought in the winter.

--- The area---

Located in a quiet street in Pointe-St-Charles, a residential neighbourhood bordered by Old Montreal, the Lachine Canal and downtown. You will be downtown in 10 minutes. Close to a supermarket, a pharmacy and a children's playground. It's a very safe, family friendly neighborhood and you will sleep soundly as there is no traffic on the street at night.

--- Transport ---

-METRO: It's a 12 minutes walk to the Charlevoix metro station (green line). From there, on the same metro line, it's only 6 stops to "Place des Arts" station (FESTIVALS) and 7 stops to "St-Laurent" station (nightlife, bars, clubs, restaurants).

-BUS: It is very easy to access down-town by bus: our house is one corner away from a bus stop that takes you down-town in only 10 minutes (line 61 on Wellington street)!

-BIKE & ROLLERBLADE: enjoy the 10 minute ride on the great bike path along the "canal" that brings you to the old montreal, or the beautifull bike and rollerblade path (over 100km long!) along the St-Laurent river that is just 5 minutes bike away from Pointe-Saint-Charles. There is a bike rental shop near the Atwater market and also the BIXI system, the famous Montreal self-access bike rental system.

-PARKING is free and easy on both sides of the one-way street.

Note: If you are a very big group, there is the Triplex on the left that is also ours (it has 1 big apartment on the ground floor and 2 smaller apartments on the second floor) and so you can split up your groups between the "Garden Cottage" and 1, 2 or 3 apartments in the neighbouring Triplex.

Also note that for any given stay of 31 days or less, our nightly prices will include the Québec Lodging Tax of 3.5%, the Provincial Tax (QST 9.975%) and the Federal Tax (GST 5%). These taxes apply to the total stay but not to the refundable damage deposit.

MINIMUM STAY: 2 nights minimum stay unless we have a 1 night "gap" between two other rentals and we reserve the right to ask for 3 nights for special events or weekends.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
