Set in a peaceful village location with fabulous views, it is a perfect place to holiday in all seasons. This superbly renovated 100 year old cottage has kept many original features, such as original beams and stone walls and can sleep up to six people. Almost every room in the property has stunning views over the forest, countryside and surrounding villages seen in the distance.

It is a perfect location to get away from the hustle & bustle of modern life, yet only minutes away from the market town of Mortagua, which has mountain views of the Sierra Estrella and Sierra Caramulo.

This market town has a number of restaurants and bars and a good range of amenities including banks, petrol stations, supermarkets and a train station.

Pinheriro is an excellent base to go and explore and enjoy the many different experiences that this part of central Portugal has to offer.

Not only is it ideal for those wishing to relax and enjoy stepping back to a bygone era, allowing you to marvel at the beautiful,peaceful landscape you find yourself immersed in; you can also go off and visit the numerous historic cities, towns and villages; such as Coimbra, Viseu and Aveiro, which is locally known as the 'Venice of Portugal' as well as the near by famous spa town of Luso.

For those more adventurous, you can enjoy whats on offer at the numerous lakes, river beaches, bike trails and golf courses . In addition you may also like to spend time visiting the Silver Coast, which has some of the best beaches rated in Europe; being very popular for surfers and sun seekers alike.

The property allows up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms (double sofa bed in living room) and is fully furnished with everything needed to make your stay as comfortable and easy living as possible. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and is ensuite and all bedding is provided. Both bedrooms come with plenty of storage space, bedside lighting and a fan if required. Both indoor bathrooms are provided with towels for use by guests and have plenty of storage for all your toiletries and a hair dryer is provided. The kitchen/dinner is open plan and very large and fully equipped as well as having a charming wood burner. There is also a microwave, toaster, hoover, washing machine and just about every thing you need. Also for those wishing to dine alfresco the traditionally built bbq area is perfect to enjoy dining, looking over a vista of an unspoilt valley and hill sides, with a forest of eucalyptus and pine trees, with their wonderful aroma. The property is surrounded by a laid to stone courtyard, which also encompasses a superb swimming pool, that can be illuminated at night and has an outside wet room. In the evenings you can relax and unwind over a glass or two of wine in the comfortable, cosy living room which has ample seating and a log burner, that is mesmerising to watch, which also heats the central heating system. There is a television, dvd player and wifi. This cottage is available for winter and longterm rentals subject to availability.
