Description

The ski-in, ski-out townhouse is completely refinished and sleeps 8 comfortably (10 max) in 4 upstairs bedrooms. The open-plan main floor has a fireplace, sectional sofa, cuddler chair, large dining table and kitchen with stainless appliances. The view looks out across Strathcona park. A private two car garage and generous mud room on the bottom floor making packing and unpacking easy. Located at the base of the Hawk chair, it's ski-access to the lifts, Nordic area and summer hiking.

Great layout with all bedrooms upstairs to create separation between the living area and sleeping area. Perfect for two families, family with grandparents, or groups of adults.

Upstairs: 4 bedrooms; 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 2 bedrooms with twin over double bunks. All bedrooms have double blinds with privacy/light filter and black-out shades. One queen bedroom has a TV with Roku/Netflix. There is a full bathroom with tub/shower on this floor along with laundry and detergent. There is a hutch at the top of the stairs with games, puzzles and cards.

Main Floor: The kitchen has a ceramic top stove, dishwasher and French door fridge (all new) along with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, milk frother, popcorn maker, hand mixer and basics for cooking (spices, oil etc.) The kitchen is very well equipped, including child-friendly dishes, big coffee mugs, kitchen gadgets, sharp kitchen knives and good quality pots and pans. The dining room joins the kitchen with a bar and three bar stools. The dining room table extends to seat 10, perfect for board games and puzzles. The living room has a gas fireplace, TV, WIFI, blue-tooth speaker, sectional sofa, cuddler chair, and a good selection of games. Also on this floor is a large pantry to store extra supplies (your cooler, extra groceries etc.) and another full bathroom with tub/shower.

Lower Floor: The lower flower has a private two car garage and spacious heated mudroom with benches and hooks to store and dry boots, helmets and ski clothes.

Things to Note:

There are 2 flights of stairs, some 'industrial' style furniture with metal legs and (brand new) carpet under the dining table, so we don't recommend it for infants between 6 months and 2 years.

Bedding and plenty of towels are supplied. We ask that guests start a load of laundry while packing up.

Getting around

In winter, a vehicle, with good winter tires and chains is advised for getting up and down the mountain, or into Courtenay / Comox to enjoy what those areas have to offer. Once you're on the mountain, you can leave your car parked! In summer, you can easily walk to the Strathcona trails from the townhouse. The Hawk Chair for mountain biking is at your doorstep. You could walk, or drive, the alpine based for bungee trampoline and mini-golf. A vehicle is needed to access Comox, Cumberland, Courtenay, Campbell River, Comox Lake, Miracle Beach, and all of the other fantastric recreation around mid-Vancouver Island.

House rules

Small children are welcome, but due to some sharp furniture and two flight of stairs, it may not be suitable for toddlers who are crawling or new to walking.

The property is not suitable for parties.

The townhouse will be cleaned after your departure, however guests are asked to:
• Take all garbage out of the unit: there is a dumpster on the property
• Take recycling out of the unit
• Run a load of towels through the washer and dryer as you pack up
• Load and start the dishwasher

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
