This is the perfect place between Kona and Hilo for an overnight or a couple of days.There is a lot to see on this southern end of the island and its a tiring drive back to town after a long day of sightseeing. Why not stay with us. cabin #1 is a studio cabin motel room... and Cabin 2 is a larger one bedroom cabin with another single bed in the sitting room along with the queen in the bedroom. Located in the heart of Naalehu Hawaii....the gateway to the Volcano.....Clean and with a comfy new bed , cable TV and wireless access....we welcome the one night stay or extended stays . We have refurbished the old plantation style rooms and left the country charm. Hana Hou Restaurant is right across the courtyard for delicious fresh made food and great desserts. This is in rural Hawaii and you may have a rooster for your alarm clock.

You will be checking yourself in. The door will be open and key on the table Please leave it as you found it no need to lock up. Don't forget to unlock screen door also unplug coffee maker and turn off lights. If you are staying a few days please empty garbage. Food scraps draw unwanted guests. If you need something you may ask the waitstaff at the cafe as I am not always there.

“Great bargain, more than adequate for a local adventure”

Flight delays had us arrive 7 hours late, room was open, clean, and with lots of hot water for a shower

We stayed one night on our way from Hilo to Kona. the unit is a little bit old, but was very clean, had comfortable bed. could handle a couple kids also with the single bed and a fold up foam mattres… More

Owner's reply: I am glad you enyoyed your stay with us...yes the whole town is a "little old"...it is a old sugar mill town which was at its peak during the 40's up until the mill closed mid 90's. The building which houses Hana Hou has beed a restaurant from 1940 and serviced all the soldiers stationed at South Point . We have quite a history in this town, It is a perfect easy place to hang your hat for a night or two while exploring the area, thanks for your patronage Aloha Patty

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Patty (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
