Description

Country Bay Manor was built in 2011, B&B opened in the guest wing of home in July 2014. Tastefully decorated, and an appealing luxurious and spa look and feel.

Outdoor entrance into B&B wing, is separate to owner's living area; which allows for you to enjoy privacy in the B&B. There are two bedrooms, each with queen size beds, well appointed bathroom with large shower/tub, hair drier, additional organic toiletries, and soft microfiber robes. Private sitting/breakfast room, amenities include; radiant floor heating, 40" Wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD, gas fireplace, small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, dishes, cutlery, etc. table and chairs, couch, and easy chair, free internet/WiFi etc. Take in the beautiful view of Nanoose Bay, while you enjoy your breakfast a selection of organic cereals, organic homemade muffins, and breads, or croissant, cranberry, or date scones, or a hard boiled egg, or a small omelette from the properties heritage breed free range chickens. Fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits, juice, selection of teas, and French Press coffee, also a coffee maker for your convenience. There are no cooking facilities other than a small outside grill adjacent to guests private patio.

Enjoy long walks on the pebble beach, and explore the estuary when tide has receded. Fishing, Swimming, kyacking, canoeing, and paddle boarding can all be enjoyed in the calm waters of the bay, and can be launched at the front gate! 4 adult kayaks for complementary use.

Centrally located to Nanaimo, Parksville, Coombs and Qualicum Beach, and close to Fairwinds golf course, Schooner Cove marina, Rathtrevor Beach, Cathedral Grove, Goats on the Roof Market at Coombs, also several Provincial parks in the area, including Englishman Falls, and a few little hidden gems to explore! A small Shopping centre called Red Gap, is 1.5km away, and you will find a supermarket, liqueur store, pharmacy & coffee shop, Post Office, bank etc. if you are looking for lunch or an evening meal, a quaint English style pub, is only 4 km away via Northwest Bay Road, and also you will find a restaurant at Fairwinds Clubhouse, 4km away, via Powder Point Road.

There is a nearby Spa, at Pacific Shores, as well as a restaurant, Smoke 'N Water, 7km away, or maybe a hike around Enos Lake, or a hike up Notch Hill for a spectacular view of Nanoose Bay, starting point of both hikes are 3km away, on Powder Point Road.

There are many Artists and potters in the area, Knut Pottery is a short walk from B&B on Powder Point Road, by the railroad track

The B&B has dual entrance gates which have an automatic opener, (code is provided when booked) they open to a long driveway through mature trees, down a small hill, where it opens up to a beautiful vista of the home, and B&B on the oceanfront of Nanoose Bay.

Two Golden Retriever dogs, Larry and Bella love to great guests, as well as Buddy, the friendly black cat. The two Boer goats, Douglas and Hershey are entertaining to watch in the field, and the friendly flock of chickens can be seen as they free range near their coop.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Elaine (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
