Description

Coastal Getaway is a charming 2 bedroom plus den, 2 bathroom house located in the Beachcomber neighbourhood of Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island. The home has been recently renovated giving it a clean, contemporary beachy feel.  This is a wonderful get away for families (kids and dogs are more than welcome), two couples adventuring together, or just to book for a quiet get away.

When you first enter Coastal Getaway you find yourself in the main living space which includes a living room anchored by a fireplace, dining area, 2nd sitting area, and kitchen.  The Master Bedroom is located on one side of the living area and features a queen sized four poster bed, tv, large walk through closet and ensuite bathroom.  On the other side of the house you’ll find the 2nd Bedroom with a queen sized bed, the Den which is set up with a twin sized daybed and trundle and the 2nd bathroom. A large patio spans the length of the back of the house, giving you many different seating spaces to enjoy the summer weather.   

The Beachcomber area of Nanoose Bay is a quiet neighbourhood where you find people out in their gardens, walking their dogs and kids riding their bikes on the lane-like roads.  It’s a mixture of old timer summer cottages and newer homes filled with retirees and people who commute into Parksville, Nanaimo and beyond.  When out on a walk you can explore Beachcomber park (just a 7 minute walk away), and a variety of other accesses down to the rocky shore, parks and walking trails.  This area is known for its stunning scuba diving, kayaking, fishing and other water sports, hiking, golfing, local farms, and ease of access into Nanaimo, the Oceanside area, and beyond.  

Guests are welcome to book for just a few nights (minimum 4 night stay), a week, or a couple of weeks at a time.  If you’re looking to stay longer, don’t hesitate to reach out to chat about that possibility.”

We pride ourselves in providing guests with the ability to do self-check-in and have privacy and comfort while staying in our homes. For guests staying longer than a few days we may cross paths when we come to water and do some gardening (especially during the hotter months). Other than that we're just a phone call or text away for anything you need.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Stacey (the owner) a message.

If Stacey (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
