Description

Located in a rural mountain setting, just 10 minutes drive west of Nelson, BC. This is a perfect base to explore the area - just 35 minutes drive to Whitewater Ski Resort, 55 minutes drive to Red Mountain Ski Resort and a short drive to Kootenay Lake. Enjoy the beautiful mountain views, from this private entranced suite. After a day of exploring or skiing, relax in the common area hot tub. The suite has a cozy wood fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. We are kid friendly and dogs are welcome!

Enjoy a stay in our large 950q ft, one bedroom, one level ground floor suite, located in our family home. The suite has recently been renovated, complete with sound proofing. The suite has its own private entrance with key pad access. It is located on the ground floor of our family home. The home is situated on a beautiful 1.3 acre lot, surrounded by trees and with beautiful mountain views.

The home is accessed down a paved driveway and there is ample parking in front of the home.

The bedroom has 1 queen size bed with a cozy duvet. There is a large closet and dresser in the bedroom. The view from the bedroom is of the mountains and forest.

There is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The convenience kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, conventional oven, toaster, pots, pans, plates, cooking and eating utensils, Keurig coffee maker, complimentary coffee/tea.

The living area has an oversized leather sectional, cable TV/DVD. The suite has a cozy wood pellet fireplace.

The dining area can seat 4 guests.

There are board games and books for guests to enjoy.

There is 1 full bathroom with a shower over the bathtub. The bathroom is located next to the bedroom (not ensuite).

The hot tub is located on the upper deck. It is shared with the main house and guests are welcome to use it between 10am and 10pm.

Children are very welcome and a Pack n Play crib and toys are available. Children are welcome to use the outdoor play area with slide and swings.

Dogs are welcome.

Guest access

This is a private entranced apartment. Guests will access the apartment by a short walk, down through the yard. There is large patio outside the apartment with patio furniture and fire pit. Guests are welcome to enjoy the outside space. The hot tub is located on the upper deck and is shared with the main house. Guests can use the hot tub from 10am to 10pm.

The neighborhood

Bonnington is a rural neighbourhood conveniently located 10 minutes west of Nelson, just off Highway 3A. We are located about 25 minutes from Castlegar. It is a quiet area with access to some great hiking/biking trails. We are located a 5 minute walk to a lovely park with play area and even an outdoor ice rink when it is cold enough. It is a very quiet, secluded area and also a great place to view the wildlife - deer, elk, bear, wild turkey have all been spotted in the back yard!

Getting around

A car is needed. There is public transit, but it only runs about 2-3 times a day (no service on Sunday).

How do damage deposits work?
