Description

Aylesbury Manor is a four bedroom, four bathroom, 1920's character home with a large heated private pool located in Old Town Niagara-on-the-lake, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants on Queen Street.

It is a very well equipped and elegant home that has been extensively renovated. The maple floors have been restored to original condition and all bathrooms have been renovated. It features 4 Queen bedrooms, all of them with comfortable mattresses with memory foam toppers and their own en suite bathrooms , a jacuzzi bathtub, 20' X 40' salt water, heated pool, central air conditioning, fireplace, dishwasher, washer and dryer, two large TV's, an Ipod docking station and wireless Internet access. The main floor has several rooms including the spacious Living room with a reclaimed brick fireplace, a 40 inch LCD High Definition TV with Blu-ray DVD player, plenty of comfortable seating plus a Queen Sofa Sleeper.

The Dining Room has a large pine Harvest table and black high back chairs. There is also a sitting area just off the Dining room with another sofa and two chairs, a place to break away and read. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and all amenities to prepare a nice dinner in.

The Master Bedroom on this main floor is quite large (15'X19') with a Queen size country bed, full en suite bathroom with walk in shower , 32 inch TV/DVD, a wicker sofa and many windows. It is a great bedroom for elderly guests that may not want to use the stairs.

The bright Sun Room with a skylight, several screened windows and dining table and chairs overlooks the pool and is a great place to have breakfast. It's Niagara's answer to the Muskoka Room.

From the Sun Room you can walk out to the raised deck with built in benches and summer furniture which includes a table, chairs and a big market umbrella for hot summer days. The backyard is very private and is a great place to relax by the pool with family and friends. The heated, saltwater pool is maintained at 86 degrees and is surrounded by the extensive landscaped garden. There are chairs and loungers by the pool, and a lovely garden bench which is framed by ornamental evergreens. The pool is large, however, there is still considerable lawn area for children to play. For guests who enjoy cooking outdoors, there is also a gas BBQ that is connected to the house so there is no need to worry about propane.

Upstairs are the other 3 Queen Size Bedrooms. They each have their own private full bathroom and feature hardwood floors, beautiful comforters, and antique pieces. The washer and dryer are conveniently located on the 2nd floor concealed behind the white double doors on the landing. During the winter the pool is covered with a high security cover that bolts into the concrete.

Aylesbury Manor can accommodate 8-10 guests very comfortably and has parking for 4 cars. The home is located in old town Niagara-on-the-Lake, very close to the shops and fine restaurants and right around the corner from our other 3 vacation homes in the town, Amberlea House, Simcoe Pines, and Avalon. They are also featured on this site. See our website for more details, photos and room descriptions.
