Description

Sea view cottage only 30 meters (100 ft) from the Baltic Sea. Located in Roslagen – a beutiful part of the Stockholm archipelago. 70 meters to pier where you can swim. Family size canoe + rowing boat with new 4 hp Mercury outboard motor included in rent. Lots of islands nearby, including Ängsö National Park. Wi-Fi included (unlimited megabytes).

Dishwasher, washing machine, bathroom/shower with floor heating, water toilet. Mostly 3 meters from floor to ceiling. Photos mostly from 2018.

The cottage has living room and kitchen/dining area with sea view. From here there is an extra door to the terrace (18 m2) overlooking the sea. Outdoor dining furniture for 5 people as well as sun chairs. Large garden.

One bedroom with high standard beds: 2 single built in bunk beds (200 x 90 cm each) + 1 double bed (200 x 160 cm). All these are new spring beds. Maximum occupancy 4 people (4 sleeping in bedroom or 2 in bedroom and 2 in living room in a new high quality bed sofa 160x200 cm).

There is a hallway with cabinets for clothes. New bathroom (8 m2) with shower, washing machine, floor heating and water toilet.

Easy access to lots of uninhabited archipelago islands were you may explore, fish, bring picnics etc. Good fishing area, no license required for rod fishing (we have fishing rods you can borrow). Beautiful nearby areas for forest walks.

Electricity, water, sheets, towels and departure cleaning are included in rent. The house borders a meadow. Satellite TV with over 300 channels (most in English). Wi-Fi included (unlimited megabytes).

Private parking next to house. Calm area. The property where the cottage is located was originally developed in 1911. The surroundings are a genuine small archipelago village.

In the costal town of Norrtalje (15 min from cottage and a popular resort among Stockholm locals) you find lots of stores, restaurants, super markets, banks, post office, movie theatre, museums etc. Norrtalje/Stockholm bus stop is 350 meters from cottage. Only 4 km to Penningby Castle.

Driving distance from house to: Vaxholm 50 min, Stockholm downtown 60 min, Stockholm Arlanda International Airport 55 min, Skavsta Airport (Ryan Air) 120 min, Uppsala 70 min.

No smoking in cottage.

Within 30 min drive: Three 18-hole golf courses, horseback riding, museums, living Viking village, Furusund (Astrid Lindgrens summer home). Day trips to the Finish island Åland by ferry located 20 min from Cottage (Viking Line).

Upon arrival all beds are made. When use of bed sofa, sheets and linen are provided (tenant makes up the sofa to get it redy for bed use). All bedding is provided. No pets please.

Please note: During the high-season we rent only weekly, Saturday to Saturday.

The TV in the cottage is 40" with DVD/Bluray-player as well as over 300 channels from 3 satellites: Viasat, Astra and Hot Bird. Channels in English, German, Spanish, Swedish etc. Many movie channels, Disney Channel, EuroSport and EuroSport2, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, National Geographic etc.

Wi-Fi included (unlimited megabytes).

Getting around

Car is recommended. SL (Stockholm Public Transit) bus station is 350 meters away from cottage. Possible to take bus to Stockholm City (via Norrtälje) as well as Arlanda Airport. 2 km from cottage there are ferries to islands in the archipelago. 20 km from cottage there is a ferry to the large island Åland.

Interaction with guest

We will meet with you in person when you arrive (or shortly thereafter) to wish you welcome, answer any questions you might have, show you the cottage, boat etc. In case of very late arrival we will meet with you the following day (key is handed over via a locked KeySafe that has a combination lock). The rest of your stay the cottage is completely to your own disposal for your personal use.

No smoking indoor. Beds will already be made upon your arrival, ready for use. We kindly as tenants to remove sheets from bed before departure. Departure cleaning is included in rent.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
