WELCOME to LE PETIT CHATEAU – and to the 2 bedroomed Gite PICASSO, set in a lovely and quiet area with only one neighbour, with access to a lovely 6m x 4m above ground swimming pool (unheated). Situated in the commune of NOYAL PONTIVY in the lovely countryside of Southern Brittany, this is a haven for wildlife and tranquility with the birds singing and the toads calling, yet only 5 minutes drive from NOYAL PONTIVY with amenities including a supermarket, bars, 2 boulangeries, restaurants and a take away This Gite is a perfect relaxing retreat, yet near enough to many attractions to make the most of exploring this interesting region of France!


Upon entering the Gite, there are 2 steps up to the KITCHEN area which is well equipped, including a hob & oven, microwave, cafetiere, kettle, toaster dishwasher, combination fridge/freezer and more.


From the Kitchen area, the open plan stairs lead up to a mezzanine and the LOUNGE/DINING AREA, here you have a good sized dining table and 6 chairs, there is a really comfortable 2 and 3 seater settee, rug and coffee table. There is a TV with Freeview, UK and French, a modern electric 'open fire effect' heater. Either side of the lounge are the bedrooms, BEDROOM 1 with a 5' double bed and an en-suite shower room, with wc and washbasin, wardrobe, cupboard and a hairdryer. BEDROOM 2 with a 4'6 double bed and en-suite bath/shower, wc and washbasin, chest of drawers and hairdryer. There is also an X Box unit available if you fancy gaming.

OUTSIDE ......

There is plenty of space for parking, you have your own area with a BBQ, table and chairs where you can sit with a glass or two of wine at night and watch the stars, whilst listening to nature all around you, what an experience! There is also a lovely ABOVE GROUND POOL 6m X 4m (unheated) with surrounding decking, sunloungers and parasols. The pool will be open 9.30am-7pm from the beginning of July until mid September. Note please bring your own towels for the pool.


We can offer a 20% discount on Brittany Ferries, this applies per passenger and each standard car.

The Property is not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with impaired mobility. Well behaved dogs are welcome, please mention if you would like to bring your dog at the time of booking. Note that there will be a fee of £10 per week per dog for extra cleaning. We can also help make your Vet’s appointment if necessary before your return to the UK.

The property is not suitable for children and babies under the age of 5.

There is a barn available to keep bicycles and motorcycles in, which is locked at night.

In the laundry room there is a washing machine available for you to use at an extra charge. Just ask if you need to use it. Also an iron and ironing board are available on request.

You may take a walk around our lake and woods which you will find just across the lane. There is a lovely shady spot under the cherry trees, just before the bridge to the lake where you can have a picnic or barbecue .

We live on site in a house next door. We are very discreet but will be available to help you at any time .

We do not charge for cleaning, but please leave our home as you found it and replace any breakages.

The pool is shared with Guests from the adjoining Apartment.

THE AREA.........

Southern Brittany is blessed with beautiful weather most of the year, obviously there are days of rain, but it has a micro climate which means it is often 10 degrees more then the UK in the summer. It is ideally placed for so many beautiful places to visit and things to do all within an hour of the Gite. Below is a selection for you which really are a must to visit, there are of course many more, but we suggest a visit to a Tourist Office who will give you loads of suggestions, leaflets and maps to help you.

PONTIVY (15 mins) - Now a quiet market town where the River Blavet meets the Nantes-Brest canal, Pontivy was once the seat of one of Brittany’s most powerful families before becoming one of Napoléon’s ‘new towns’. Visit the castle then amble around the streets. To get a feel for its medieval origins, head to Place du Martray, which used to be Pontivy’s main square and then take a look at nearby Maison des Trois Piliers (the house with three pillars), the only remaining example in Morbihan of a 16th-century ‘porched house’. The main site in Pontivy is its château, which overlooks the River Blavet a short walk from the town centre. The château, which retains many original features, is open to the public and often stages art exhibitions.
