Description

With sweeping views of the Azzaden Valley and a backdrop of High Atlas peaks, Kasbah Africa perfectly blends sub-Saharan African lodge style with Berber warmth and charm to create a luxurious Atlas riverside retreat.

Each of the 8 suites offer 40 square metres of living space and are furnished with hand-crafted walnut furniture with either two large singles or a super king size bed, wood burner, Berber rugs, a sofa and lounge chairs, generous shower room with basin, loo and bidet, plus a sun terrace offering wonderful unobstructed views across the valley and of the skies above – perfect for star-gazing.

Kasbah Africa enjoys a dramatic riverside location on an 'S' bend on the Azzadene River Valley. Facing the Takherkhort Wildlife Sanctuary Kasbah Africa offers an unrivalled wilderness location in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains. Here you will gain an appreciation of north African nature at its very best – from olive groves to the darkest of night skies.

The nearest village is Torort, a traditional Berber hamlet, 15 minutes from Kasbah Africa by foot. The larger village of Ouirgane is just an hour away on foot following the river valley, or 7 km by road. Marrakech lies 64 km to the north (a 1 hour 15 minute drive).

The Kasbah offers a wide range of local activities, day trips and tours including guided walks to nearby Berber villages, Atlas treks, Toubkal climbs, nature trails, mule treks, cooking courses, and 4×4 trips to remote mountain villages and beyond. Day trips are available to Marrakech, Ourika Valley, Agafay Desert, Tin Mal Mosque and the Ouirgane Valley.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
