Most guests describe their joy that the view is more amazing in real life than in our photos. It immediately puts guests into a relaxing frame of mind to make the most of their time in paradise.

Bedrock is ideal for a large family or a group of friends travelling together or gathering for a special occasion.

Elevated into the coastal ranges, the home was designed to maximise the tropical breezes and views to the reef and islands (even from the downstairs apartment).

The sublime indoor/outdoor living spaces allow everyone to make the most of relaxing quietly or socialising constantly. Bedrock has a gourmet Miele appointed kitchen with gas cooktop that makes preparing meals a breeze. You can choose from dining indoors around the 8 seater table or dine on the back deck which also seats 8 around a Teak outdoor setting and really enjoy being in the tropics. The kitchen island will allow all to gather around to enjoy a meal or make plans for your stay.

The property is on a 1000sq metre fully fenced block. The lush gardens and large grass lawns allow for plenty of outdoor family fun when you want to enjoy the amazing Cairns climate, and whilst enjoying the gardens you can jump in and out of the pool or relax on the pool deck.

For those days when it does rain, the generous rear balcony provides an entertaining or recreational area protected from the wind and rain for all the family to enjoy. For more competitive families, the table tennis table in the garage is perfect for family championships, or board games such as Monopoly, Pictionary and Jenga will give plenty of exciting moments.

For designated lazy days staying at Bedrock, there are 2 TV's, with Apple TV & Netflix available on the upstairs TV, so adults and children can both watch their favourite programmes.

You are only a 3 minute drive to the heart of Palm Cove and its restaurants and bars, or it is a very leisurely 20 minute walk. Perfect for an evening meal or nightcap with a peaceful stroll home.

BEDROCK is perfect for a family holiday, but can be configured for a more intimate getaway. Come up and experience this beautiful home and location for yourself; you won't be disappointed!

Getting around

It's a 20 minute casual walk down to the Palm Cove Esplanade which is very pleasant, except maybe in the middle of summer or if you are carrying lots of things to go to the beach.

Interaction with guest

We've had to move South for work, but that means that the house is available for our guests to come and enjoy Palm Cove & the tropics. We are always available via email or phone and have a local manager who can attend the property quickly if needed. Upon payment we give detailed directions to find and access the house and we have a smart lock installed so you can check in & out at any time without needing to meet anyone at the house

1. Please do not move the furniture around. Interior furniture must remain inside and outdoor furniture must remain outside.
2. Pets are only allowed with prior approval. Pets must sleep on their own beds, which the guest must bring, or sleep on the rear deck. Pets are not allowed on beds/furniture in the house.
3. For groups in excess of 8 guests, there is a surcharge for the additional guests of $25 per person per night.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
