Description

The apartment, in a building with elevator, fully equipped and comfortable, is ideal for easy and calm vacations, because of its position very close to the sea, while in the same time, can be used as the base-point to visit most of Peloponnese, during summer, as well as winter.

The unique feature of the apartment is its view to the sea (you can even see it lying on your bed) and the very short distance to the sandy beach (50 m).

The space is a one-room (33 m2) south facing apartment with a bathroom with window & shower and an open plan kitchen, lying on the first floor of a three-stores building with 20 apartments (Construction year 2006) .

The room provides a double bed (1.45 x 2.00 m) and a foldable coach, opening to accommodate one or two more persons, as seen in photos.

There is a dining area with a table absolutely sufficient for 4 persons and a very wide balcony with a great view to the sea.

Guest access

-There is a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, electric oven, Electric Kettle / Coffee Maker and plates, pots, cutlery etc.

-In the bathroom there is a washing machine. An iron and an iron board are provided.

-A Hair-dryer is also provided.

-There is a Wireless router in the apartment, providing Broadband Internet with unlimited use and a 32" flat TV with HDMI connection.

-The apartment is equipped with Air conditioning system and a ceiling fan.

-Windows are protected against insects by screens.

-Sheets and towels, as well as beach towels, are included and a second clean set is provided for more than 15 days stay.

-The large balcony, viewing to the sea, is protected by the sun with electric canopy and is equipped with outdoor furniture.

-The building provides an enclosed garden with common use shower and a barbeque which you can use freely.

-The sea lies at about 20 m. distance from the building and it is accessible for swimming or even fishing. A nice sandy beach with beach-bars during summer, is 50 m. away from the house.

-The apartment is also suitable for winter staying as it provides autonomous heating.

Interaction with guests

We generally meet guests in the apartment to give them the keys, so there is also the opportunity to provide them with information about the operation of the house, as well as about the neighborhood. There is a Guide-book in the house with information about the area and its sightseeings and a local map with the points of interest, but we also make a little tour with our guests, if they like, to the center of the town to show them the area and give them more information about shops, restaurants, etc. As there is another apartment on the same floor that we use for our vacations and weekends, there is the opportunity to meet them again, if they like, and to respond to any possible problem.

The neighbourhood

The neighbourhood is at the outskirts of the town and not crowdy. In a short walking distance there are restaurants, bars and beach bars with umbrellas, during summer. The town centre is one kilometre away and includes shops, bakery, pharmacy, bank, many bars, cafés, restaurants and a lot of night life.

The location of the apartment is very advantageous as, using it as a base-point you can visit almost all Peloponnese with one-day trips. And there are great places to see in Peloponnese: Beautiful cities and villages, nice sea-sides and impressive mountains, medieval castles, and famous archaeological sites such Mycenae, Epidaurus, Ancient Corinth and Nemea, Olympia, Sparta, Pylos and others. The place is half an hour away from Nafplion and Argos, 45 min from Tripolis and Mycenae, one and half an hour away from Sparta, about two hours from Olympia, etc.

During summer, there are daily cruises to Spetses and Hydra islands as well as a bus trip with return, to Epidaurus where you can watch an evening performance in the ancient theatre.

If you visit the apartment during winter, you can even go for skiing to Maenalon Ski center (from December to March) or just drink your coffee viewing the snowy slopes, at a distance of 30 km from Tripolis.

Getting around

It is better to use a car to access the apartment, as it will be necessary for visiting the area and make short or long trips to Peloponnese. But the apartment is also accessible easily by bus from Athens. There is a bus stop (named “Glyfada”) almost opposite to the building to Athens and Argos. We will provide you with all necessary directions to reach the house, regardless of the way you will come.

If you come by car, there is an open parking place that you can use. (No 4)

The access directly from the Airport is easy using “Attiki odos” and then the motorways to Corinth and Tripolis. The distance from the airport to the house is 197 km and the time you need is two hours and 15 min. From the total route, 152 km are in a motorway.

HOUSE MANUAL

1. Electric water heater:

Raise the switch with the indication “WATER HEATER”, on the electric board, on the right of the entrance door. It will take 15 to 30 min. for the water to be ready. Please, don't forget to lower the switch when the water is hot.

2. Bathroom:

Please do not throw papers and sanitary items in the toilet bowl.

3. Air condioner:

Handle the air-conditioning device by the remote control, lying over the bed. Please, do not forget to switch off the device when leaving the room.

4. Ceiling fan:

Please, do not forget to switch off the ceiling fan, when leaving.

5. Balcony Canopy:

You can handle the balcony canopy using the wireless device on the wall, left to the balcony door. The arrows on buttons indicate the up & down movement and the middle one is the stop button. Please, raise the canopy in the afternoon, when there is not sun.

ATTENTION, on strong wind, always raise the canopy, in order to avoid damages.

6. Television Set:

If you have a laptop or another device with HDMI exit, you can connect it to the TV, using the spare HDMI cable, in order to play the contents of your device on it.

7. Extra table:

If you need a larger table for the balcony, you can find a foldable one, under the bed.

8. Quite Hours:

Please respect the quite hours which officially are:

From 1st of April to 30th of September 15:00 to 17:30 and 23:00 to 07:00 and from 1st of October to 31st of March 15:30 to 17:30 and 22:00 to 07:30.
