Description

Nestled on 23 acres of land that run adjacent to the Welland River is an updated 3000 sq. ft. century old farmhouse that is ready to become your family and friend's favourite get-away.

Plenty of sleeping spaces can be found in the four upstairs bedrooms. A king size bed and a four piece ensuite are found in the large master bedroom; an adjacent bedroom has two custom built bunk beds, doubles on the bottom and singles on the top, that can comfortably sleep 4. Queen beds are found in the third and fourth spacious bedrooms, both which boast a view of the river. A three piece bathroom is also located on the upper floor.

On the main floor, a seasonal* bedroom with a queen bed is found off a quiet back hallway and additional sleeping spaces can be found on a comfortable pull out sofa that is in a quiet sitting room. A third spacious bathroom is located on the main floor and is equipped with a shower.

Multiple eating spaces can be found between the kitchen and the dining room, which has three patio doors facing the river and the setting sun. The large family room has a 60" Smart TV, surround system, blu-ray player and a varied selection of DVDs. The are multiple games, puzzles and books for the family to enjoy.

A large in-ground pool and a hot tub are two of the extra amenities that will make your retreat memorable.

The kitchen is stocked with almost anything you would need during your stay. Crock pot, stock pot, punch bowl, serving bowls and trays, bakeware, 12 cup coffee pot and Keurig machine are just some of the extras besides the multitude of plates, glassware and cutlery provided. There are a few pantry staples, herbs and spices, and condiments provided as well.

A 10 acre forest is located on the south end of the property with well-appointed walking trails and a charming little shack. Several kayaks are available for use in the river that runs along the length of the property. A BBQ is supplied and there is a large fire pit on the property with wood available for purchase.

An 18 hole golf course and a family diner are in walking distance of the property.

The farm is located south of Twenty Valley Wine Country and there are a variety of wine tour companies that will transport you to and from the farm for a lovely day of wine-tasting. If you prefer more nature than wine, there are many beautiful parks and a sandy beach on Lake Erie only a short drive away. The infamous Niagara Falls and all of it's attractions are only a 35 minute drive away.

Dogs are allowed :)

Getting around

We are on Victoria Avenu, which conveniently is an exit off of the QEW. While we are a countryside retreat, we still have easy direct routes to Fonthill (10 min), Port Colborne (15 min), Welland (5 min), St Catharines (25 min) and Niagara Falls (30 min). Sandy beaches, golf courses and beautiful hiking trails are all nearby.

Dogs are permitted for an additional fee of $20/dog/night. Please see rental agreement for specifics regarding pet accompaniment.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Lindy (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
