Aloha and welcome to Hale Makai ("house by the ocean")!

Our condo is a spectacular home at a great value. A rare corner unit within the Ali'i Kai complex, our condo has gorgeous 180 degree ocean views from all rooms and the wrap-around lanai. We invite you to come here, relax and enjoy the aloha that our vacation home provides (and that Kauai is world-famous for!). You will LOVE our condo!!!

The View

Our condo sits on the edge of a bluff overlooking the Pacific ocean and both bedrooms and the living room boast breathtaking ocean views. You can see it, smell the salty air, and, if the surf is up, hear the waves. Wake up to an ocean view from your bed, fall asleep to the sounds of the majestic ocean, have your morning coffee on the lanai to the sounds and sights of the majestic Pacific ocean. Watch the whales frolic (in season) and the albatross soar by without ever leaving our condo. Also, our condo faces north so from the lanai you can see the colorful kaleidoscope of sunrise skies to the east and sunset skies to the west. For all of the above, our lovely condo is your front row seat!

The Accommodations

Our condo is a two-bedroom, two-bath unit that sleeps five comfortably and is well-furnished with tropical, island-style decor throughout to make your stay relaxing and unforgettable. The master has a cal-king bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed, both with high-quality linens (there is also an aero bed). The floor plan is open and airy, and the condo flows from a well-appointed kitchen and island/bar to a separate dining area and comfortably furnished living area. In both the master bedroom and living room there are smart TVs with access to Amazon, NetFlix, and other entertainment apps. There are ceiling fans throughout, as well as corner windows to catch the clean air, tropical breeze. We provide snorkel equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs, and other beach gear - everything you need for a day at the beach!

The Ali'i Kai complex

Ali'i Kai is a small, quiet complex of 56 units spread over several different buildings. Our condo is in the BEST location - on the corner and directly on the bluff overlooking the ocean. The complex features a resort-style pool, as well as tennis courts and BBQ grills just steps from our door. The inviting walk/jog path that runs through Princeville - with breathtaking views of the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other - is minutes away. As well, you can't beat the convenience of Ali'i Kai - you are a 15-minute drive from all of the North Shore's most spectacular spots!

This property was ideal for 2 couples traveling together and being able to have enough space and everything they would be used to having at home. Had a couple maintenance issues, and they were fixed very promptly and thoroughly. The veiw was spectacular and the beds were very comfortable for staying in a strange one away from home.

We had a wonderful time and plan to visit again next year.

The location is great for the North Shore. Easy to walk to the St Regis and view Hanalei Bay or go to the Princeville shopping area. The unit was very comfortable for 2 couples. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Lots of puzzles, games and movies to keep occupied in bad weather. Thank you.

How do damage deposits work?

If John (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
