Mark & Caroline invite you to their fabulous home from home. Located right on the edge of the medieval village, this beautiful Gite with heated swimming pool offers the best of both worlds. Stunning views & quiet location, while being a 10 minute walk into the quaint medieval village to get your freshly baked bread or newspaper; visit the bustling Friday market for fresh local produce or relax in one of the 8 restaurants for a leisurely lunch or supper without the worry of who has to drive home!

Our location is on the edge of the village on high ground with views down over the village rooftops and beyond to the lot river and vineyards on the opposite bank.

The lane is very quiet and turns into an unmade track a short distance up the lane.

There are only about 12 houses, so it is very quiet. The apartment provides a comfortable stay for our guests.

There is ample parking for guest vehicles.

The well set out apartment has two bedrooms one set as a double room and the other as twin. The living/dining room area has a round family table and chairs for communal eating or a nice place to study/work if needed. Two comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV with English free-sat included all go to make this a really nice place for a family to stay for the summer. It is very well equipped with Washer /Dryer, Dishwasher, Nespresso machine, Microwave/Convector Oven, hob, Fridge, Iron, Hair Dryer etc providing everything you need for a home from home.

There is a small quaint terrace with dining table and chairs.

The fenced garden includes a dining tale and chairs, BBQ and sun loungers.

The pool is heated from 1st June to 1st October . The pool is shared with the other apartment. The pool area is big enough to allow guests to have their own sunbed. Parasols are also provided. There is a pool house which has a toilet and changing area a shady sitting area out of the sun. There is easy entrance and exit from the pool 11.7m x 5.3m via the roman steps into the shallow end at 1m deep. For swimmers/adults, the other end is deep at 2m. There is an outside shower to rinse off any oils before swimming.

The pool is fenced to meet with statutory requirements and also has a pool alarm.

There are also many pretty areas to sit and relax in the garden areas around the house.

Gym: we now have a Gym available with treadmill, Rowing machine, Elliptical trainer, Free weights, floor mats, dumb bells, abs bench and more

A welcome pack includes: a local red and white wine, some coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine, filter coffee, bread, cheese, toilet roll, washing up liquid and a few dish washer tablets to get you started.

COVID19...... please note that our Gite is deep cleaned before you check in. We sterilise all kitchen and other surfaces such as tables, door handles, remote controls, floors and bathroom.

Bedding, towels etc are washed on a hot wash.

The beautiful swimming pool is maintained to the highest standards of hygiene.

The Lot valley is regarded to be the least populated department in France and we are situated on the very edge of a medieval village, so peace and tranquility is yours but village facilities are within walking distance.

Getting around

You will need a car to get around to other villages. There are however, a good series of marked walking/jogging routes to take you off the beaten track and back to nature, along the River Lot or through the miles of local vineyards for a sampling session. Cycling is popular in this area with vélo routes and trails throughout the region. We are situated on the edge of the village and this has a big advantage of meaning that restaurants and bars in the village are within easy walking distance down the hill.

Mark and Caroline live at the property and will be there to greet you and offer any help or advice you need. Your privacy will always be respected but we are happy to help with local information, booking restaurants etc
