Description

You'll love our cottage because of the hiking trails, waterfalls, quiet solitude, forest views, 15 minutes to the beach, golf, fishing and kayaking, 15 minutes to Qualicum Beach townsite. Home away from home with all amenities, high ceilings, the views, the location, and the ambiance.

Half way between Courtenay and Nanaimo. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Dogs allowed upon request. Must be crated if left in the cottage alone.

Easy access to parking as you drive on to the acreage with parking right beside your side deck and entrance. Fully equipped kitchen to make your Christmas meal or just bring in pizza from the local store which is minutes down the street.

Free wifi and cable TV. Travelling with babies? We can supply all your needs: playpen, highchair and toys! For the older children, we have outdoor games. For the adults, there is a sandtrap to practise your golf! Little Qualicum Falls is literally a two minute drive away.

For you hiking and biking enthusiasts, just turn right and down the road and you are into beautiful views of the mainland. Take a 45 minute walk up to the lake.

The cottage has a private yard for you and any pets you love to holiday with. This yard makes it easy access for your pet to get out in the middle of the night without you having to go out too! There is access to the full three acre property, but we ask that you be out supervising your pets and children.

For guests that require wheelchair and walker access, please contact for measurements of the bathroom. No stairs, but there is a four inch lip on the shower base and doors to the bathroom are 30" wide.

Getting around

You will require a vehicle. There is no bus service. There are taxis in the area. We are located 15 minutes (by car) from Qualicum Beach.

Interaction with guest

The cottage is located on three acres completely fenced. Brian and Andree live on the property and can be available to answer any questions and will be awaiting your arrival. Your privacy and enjoyment of your stay are tantamount.

House rules

The cottage is a smoke-free zone of any kind. All smoking to be done on the deck where an ashtray is provided. Cats are not allowed due to allergies. Dogs are welcome but must be supervised at all times. If they are to be left in the cottage, they must be kenneled in a suitable crate and not left for long periods. Charge for pets to be collected upon arrival of $25 plus a damage deposit of $50 to be returned upon departure.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Andree (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
