Description

The apartment is in the 5* Delta Sharm Resort, with its many themed swimming pools and mature, well maintained, lush tropical gardens. The apartment makes the perfect base for your stay in Sharm, as it's just a 5 minute taxi or bus ride to Sharm's two main tourist centres, N'aama Bay and Old Market.

New for 2014 is free use of our portable Wi-Fi Internet Hot Spot. Full details are given below, but in summary you can now access the internet inside the apartment or from anywhere else in Delta using any laptop, smart phone, tablet, e-reader or other Wi-Fi capable device. All you pay for is the data you use. So, you could take a selfie by the pool with your smart phone, post it to your social networking site and make your friends very jealous by tweeting about it, all without moving from your sun lounger!

Leading off the living room is a large balcony that is shaded in the morning, making it the ideal place for breakfast or morning coffee. By early afternoon, it gets full sun, making it the perfect place to sunbathe. The balcony looks out over one of the most peaceful pools in the resort, the Fountain Pool, so you can relax on the balcony sunbathing, reading, eating or just chilling out listening to the gentle splash of the fountain. If you want a more active day, the main pool is just a one minute walk away, where you can enjoy the many organised activities that the resort offers. Alternatively, you could relax by or swim in one of Delta's other pools, one of which is heated all year round. The choice is yours.

In summary, a well-appointed, well located apartment that gives you the ideal base for your holiday, allowing you to either relax by one of the many pools, stroll around the green gardens, or go out and about to explore all the sights, sounds and experiences that Sharm offers. Plus, you can now easily keep in touch and up to date with your online life, although it's not compulsory if all you really want to do is just get away from it all somewhere with sunshine and warmth all year round.

The apartment is managed for us by our local English representative, Sally, who lives close to Delta and who will meet you on arrival.

Please note that the apartment is strictly non-smoking, although smokers are welcome to use the balcony.

The apartment is furnished in a modern, contemporary style, with most of the furniture made to measure.

As mentioned above, the apartment is equipped with a portable Wi Fi Hot Spot. This works on a Pay-As-You-Go basis. The unit is very easy to set up and connect to (typically less than 30 seconds in fact), and full instructions (written with the technophobe in mind) are provided. Data charges are very reasonable at less than 1p per megabyte.

As regular holiday renters ourselves, we have strived to ensure that the apartment is equipped with everything that you might need to make your holiday as enjoyable and relaxing as possible:

~ Cable TV with over sixty channels, many in English, including the local equivalent of Sky – OSN (which has 4 sports chanels showing many Premier League games in English, plus 5 movie channels, also in English. With the addition of internet access, you can now tell what's on when by going online, or using the OSN app, as the cable in Delta has no EPG
~ Micro Hi Fi with sub-woofer and iPod dock.
~ Sliding glass doors leading to a large balcony with dining seating for three.
~ Hotel telephone for booking Spa treatments or ordering groceries and take-aways from the resort's many shops and restaurants.
~ Flat Screen LCD HD TV with HDMI cable if you want to bring your favourite BlueRays or DVDs to watch from your laptop or Mac.

~ Large two-person walk-in shower.
~ Egyptian cotton towels
~ Washing machine.

Bedroom with:

~ Independently controllable air conditioning unit.
~ Luxury Egyptian cotton sheets,pillow cases and duvet covers.
~ Dressing table with marble top, with large mirror.
~ Blackout curtains that keep the worst of the sun out should you wish to sleep in
~ Large wardrobe with plenty of storage space.
~ Large chest of drawers
~ Two extra large single beds. In hotter climates, sleeping is much easier in single beds. Should you wish to push them together, the beds were specifically designed so that when pushed together there is no annoying bump or hollow in the middle
~ Doors leading to the balcony.

Further details outdoors

Set in mature, well manicured tropical gardens, Delta has a collection of pools that should suit everyone's tastes. As well as the pool directly outside the apartment where you can relax or swim listening to the splash of the fountain, Delta's main pool offers the daily and nightly activities that you would expect on a 5* Resort, including organised in-pool activities during the day such as water polo and aerobics, as well as regular night time entertainment for both children and adults alike. All such activities are free for our guests.

If you prefer to relax and sunbathe in total peace and quiet, the Quiet Pool (no music or children allowed) is also a short stroll away. For those with smaller children, there is a heated pool with toys, and for those with older children the Ali Baba pool with its water slide, waterfall and jacuzzi is once again just a two minute stroll away.

Delta also has a Gym, Spa, Beauty Centre and Kids Club, and again these can be used by our guests at reasonable prices. For example, Gym membership is 100LE (less than £10) per week, with beauty and spa treatments starting at around £20.

At the front of the Resort, which has 24 hour security, there is a selection of shops including two well stocked medium sized supermarkets (one of which is open 24 hours a day), an off licence, 24 hour pharmacy, and a reaonable selection of restaurants,cafes, takeaways and other shops. There is also a CarreFour supermarket slighly further afield in N'amma selling brands that will be familiar to all.

“A beautiful place for a relaxing holiday”

Delta Sharm has lovely gardens & pools (12), the view from the balcony onto the pool is a lovely treat, the apartment has everything you need & well looked after. David the owner is extermely helpful & went out of his way to accommodate us. We had a wonderful time & can't wait to return.

“Comfortable haven”

I had a very enjoyable stay here. The apartment is on a large(ish) but very quiet and pretty low-rise development, with the villas and apartment blocks set in extensive well-maintained gardens with good local facilities - pools/shops/restaurants/taxis etc. Everything was in order in the apt and it was well enough equipped for the typical holiday stay. I cooked in as much as I ate out. Both easily sorted with cafes and mini-markets close by. Very comfortable bed with good quality linen and duvet. Very quiet at night! Perfect for a recuperative holiday - which was what I needed. The apt is quiet with a pleasant pool opposite and plenty of sunbeds. It also has a nice-sized balcony overlooking the gardens and receiving the afternoon/evening sun which makes for a delightful end-of-the-day place to sit. Very occasionally (twice in two weeks) some 'boom-boom DIsco' noise drifts in from the main pool sound (depending on wind direction) - but they will turn it down in a trice if you ask! The owner is really helpful about local beaches, local services, and other matters. Overall highly recommended.

Just returned from Delta Sharm this morning.This apartment was in a quiet area of the complex, overlooking a fantastic pool area. The apartment itself has everything you need. Only 2 minutes from main pool area and resturants and 5 minutes to supermarket and shops on the complex. The apartment owner is very nice and nothing seems too much trouble! Would highly recommend! We have already booked our 2nd visit at Christmas.

“Beautiful apartment.... definitely returning”

My boyfriend and I stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks in June/July 2011. The apartment is immaculate, very spacious and has everything you would need for a self catering holiday - tv, ipod docking station, toaster, mini oven, etc. The pictures on here show how lovely the apartment is but i dont think they actually do it justice! The balcony is also very spacious and is overlooking the pool which is a minutes walk away. The apartmnet and its contents are in immaculate condition as well. Clean sets of towels and bed linen are also provided. The apartment is only a 5 minute taxi ride from Naama Bay which costs about £2-£3 (20-30 LE) depending on how good you are at haggling! We really enjoyed ourselves and feel that the apartment played a massive role in this. We have already booked our next stay here for Feb 2012!!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you enjoyed your stay, and look forward to your return. As you will be more experienced at haggling next time, aim for 15LE for the cab fare. You will know when you can haggle like a local, as you will pay that fare, but it does take a lot of work! As an alternative, use the blue and white public mini-buses. Only 1LE (10p!) and no haggling. The drivers aren't quite as mad as some of the cab drivers too.
