Gaddens is delightfully situated in over 17 acres of private grounds within the New Forest National Park. Explore the numerous trails and paths within the gardens, whilst also keeping an eye open for our local wildlife.

This charming manor house wing offers completely self-contained accommodation, furnished throughout. Located across two floors, there are 4 double bedrooms,4 shower rooms, sleeping up to 9 guests, together with a kitchen, large lounge with wood burner, entrance hall and cloakroom.

The location within its own woodland garden Is ideal for holiday breaks for celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, and reuniting friends or family.

Our minimum charge is for 2 nights and we are always pleased to quote for more extended stays.

Getting around

Beaches: Our favourites are the 20 min drive through the forest to Mudeford Quay and Christchuch Harbour, for a stroll and lunch, alternatively the cliff top at Highclffe or Barton then walk down and along the beach.

Interaction with guest

Gaddens wing is private and peaceful, there is always a contact for assistance if needed. Lots of secure space for children/ bikes, the most noise you will hear will be the clip clop of a passing riding group!

Very Good

“Beautiful house and setting.”

This a lovely peaceful place to stay. Six adults, two boys and one baby - and we all had plenty of room over our four-day stay. We went to celebrate my 70th birthday. The interior is elegant but homely, warm and comfortable. There's a drying room from the back door, so very useful for wet clothing. The house is very well-equipped. There are some beautiful features (Arts and Crafts window catches, brickwork,etc.) Outside, the grounds are lovely with a range of shrubs, mature trees and little paths. There are electric gates just for this property, which make it very safe for children. We cooked en famille but can recommend the Koh Thai in Ringwood.

This property is right in the new forest a beautiful setting for a holidays. We stayed for 4 days to attend a family wedding near by. The children loved it. Perfect for our stay.

“Amazing weekend cannot recommend highly enough”

We were a group of ladies of mixed ages from late 20s to mid 50s. Perfectly located to enjoy the spas and had we had longer, the rest of the NewFforest. Lovely, quiet surroundings, well equipped kitchen, comfortable rooms and enough bathroom facilities for our groups. We had an amazing weekend! Checking in and out was very straightforward. Beds very comfy! The house had everything we needed! Very clean and well presented. Lovely having the fire on in the living area. Only things I would say is we didn't realise it was a wing of a much larger building at the time of booking . It wasn't a problem for us but that is not obvious from the advert. Also, the stairs to the bedrooms are a little steep half way up, so may not be as easy for someone with mobility/ sight difficulties to get up/ down them. Overall, we all loved it and was perfect for our celebration. We can't wait to revisit in the future with our families

“Lovely, spacious accommodation in peaceful, beautiful surroundings”

The house is very spacious with a large living room/dining room area, which made it ideal for the the 6 of us to share - it could have easily accommodated more. The kitchen and bedrooms had plenty of space too and were well equipped. For us, the non-master bedroom beds could have been bigger (only queen size), but apart from that, perfectly comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and large enough to go for a 10 minute walk in, with lots of lovely trees. Right in the heart of the New Forest with Ringwood with amenities nearby, it's a great place to stay for a quiet break.

“An amazing family break!”

I would like to thank Jayne and Chris for a wonderful 5 day break with my mother and sister in law and six children. The house really was a home from home and we all felt very settled and relaxed there. The house is lovely but it's the gardens and Forset that just blow you away! We saw Deer, and heard Owls of an evening. My little boy (4) loves tractors and Chris let him have a ride on his lap on the tractor when they were helping him in the garden. A great tip if you have kids is to take walkie talkies! They can really explore the woods and look for animals but you can still keep in touch. The kids really loved their Labrador 'Copper' too, who really enjoyed a fuss! We hope to return next year too. X

The house and garden are lovely, and the house is situated in the heart of the New Forest with great walks all around. The house is very well equipped for entertaining, with everything you could wish for.

The Gaddens Manor House apartment was perfect for us, 6 adults an 8 year old and two under 15 months. Needing plenty of room the most appealing feature was the gardens and security mainly for the children. Here they could go outside with no fear of traffic. The peace and quite is unbelievable and if you are a star gazer on a clear night with little light pollution you have a fantastic display. The accommodation is first class and is as described on the web site, with an extra ‘boot room’ for outdoor items, an extra fridge and clothes dryer. The three burner gas bar-b-q was brilliant. Parking for at least three cars and private access to the area via own security gates. The owners, Jayne and Chris were very friendly and welcoming, it was perfect. After the week we could have made it our home which is an excellent recommendation as it is not often holiday accommodation matches up to your own home. The house is 5 minutes from Ringwood and 20 minutes from beaches near Christchurch. Being right in the heart of the new forest there is easy access to horse riding, cycling and visits to New Forest villages and of course just walking. If you choose to stay at Gaddens you will not be disappointed.

“Great house and gardens with friends and family”

We stayed in the house for 2 nights and had family and friends visit us while we were there. It was very accommodating and comfortable and the owners were excellent. I would recommend it to any large family or friends for a get together. The kids had a ball outside of the house and lost themselves in the woods. Also we were able to have a fire in the woods which made it much more fun for all.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jayne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
