Description

Holiday cottages set in Brittany, available for long or short stay with or without breakfast. Ideal for family holidays or a romantic break in the countryside.

The cottages are peaceful, charming and stylish, decorated with calming pastel colours and including cosy beds and furniture.

The Peony Cottage is fully heated throughout. There is a double bedroom, bathroom with a shower and toilet, lounge with settee, tv, dvd, radio, dining table, and fully fitted kitchen.

It has its own private outside sitting area to relax and take in the views. There is a private use of a hot tub, bbq as well and garden furniture. A prefect way to relax!

As part of your welcome you will receive a free complimentary basket this will include local Bretton cake, bread, wine or cider, milk and butter.

It is located in the tiny hamlet of Paule, 8 minute’s drive from the market town of Mael Carhaix and 15 mins from Rostrenen and Carhaix-Plouguer where there are restaurants, boulangerie’s, bars, supermarkets and swimming pool, golf course and boules. Peony Cottage offers an ideal base for those wanting a quiet, peaceful retreat whilst being close to many of Brittany’s tourist attractions including the Northern Brittany’s coast and South Brittany's coast these are only a 45 minutes drive away. Peony Cottage is also on the walking and cycling route for Nantes-Brest Canal. Lac Guerladan is only 20 minutes away and has wonderful walking, cycling routes. It also has lots of water activities to keep you busy.

From the front door you enter the comfortable lounge area with an amazing view over the garden and terraced area. The cottage has electric heating for those winter evenings. The lounge has English TV , French TV channels, DVD and a radio and there is access to free WIFI throughout the cottage. The lounge leads through to a well-equipped modern kitchen/diner with stairs leading up to the bedroom.

Upstairs there is a light airy bedroom with a double bed. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Each bedroom has en-suite facilities and have a spacious bathroom they have a large shower cubicle and WC and wash hand basin.

Outside the property, there is a large terrace with table and chairs and a lawned area. This is ideal for “Alfresco dining” or just relaxing and enjoying the views. A barbecue is provided for your use.

Included in the price is your own use of private wooden heated hot tub. We will heat this for free for your first night if you are staying 2 nights are more.

One well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement and we can assist with arranging an appointment with the local vet prior to your return to the UK in order to comply with the travel regulations for dogs. Extra charges will be €25 per stay.

We will be providing wood heated hot tubs free to use for our guests.

Just to note people wanting to use the hot tub please inform us prior to your visit and we will prepare this for you. All guests who are staying 2 or more nights will get a free complimentary basket of wood for the hot tub and we will prepare this prior to arrival if requested.

We can provide Brittany Ferries discount code if needed, once deposit has been paid.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
