(Description en français plus bas) Dreaming of large spaces, large forests, tranquility, peace. Want to relax, forget the hustle and bustle. At the cottage, you will not have a choice: your phone does not ring, emails do not reach you; away from it all, nothing else comes in the sounds of nature. Yet you will be safe: a road accessible year round you can reach in 20 minutes the village of Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. You will find the warmth and comfort of a 3-star log home, equipped with electricity and a landline phone. In summer, swim in the stream or lake beach Bernard in Mastigouche reserve, browse the hiking trails on foot or bicycle, fishing in the surrounding lakes, go down the "Loup" river by canoe , discover dam beavers, watch animals in the early morning Flush out a partridge or deer, find good mushrooms for your dinner, enjoy a drink on the terrace under the stars listening to the song of frogs or admiring the dancing fireflies. In winter, snowshoeing browse the forest, follow the tracks of the fox and the hare, do cross country skiing, slide and build forts with your children, go skating or try your hand at ice fishing in village, go dog sledding or stay warm reading around the fireplace in the lounge. Summer or winter, you will be relaxed.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Christian (the owner) a message.

If Christian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
