The pretty quite quaint property is located in a country village with neighbours so not too isolated being 5 minutes drive from the nearest town with restaurants and a supermarket open 8-20 daily.

There are three double bedrooms,one bath shower room, kitchen/diner and lounge.

The master front bedroom has a Queen size double Victorian English bed, period bedside cabinets,mirrored dresser and a desk for laptop with HD TV DVD and Android Box for your devices.

The second front bedroom has two single pine beds with matching pine bedside cabinet,mirror and built in double wardrobes.

Bedroom three has twin pine bunk beds sleeping four, fan heater,matching pine bedside cabinets and another mirrored period dresser.

Comfortable furnished throughout the east facing air conditioned lounge has two double sofa beds for larger parties.

Cable,Internet,Satellite and Terrestrial TV is available with over 3000 channels. (Portuguese and International premium TV is available throughout Portugal for your devices) Two passwords required.

There is also a Blue Ray Internet Connected DVD VCR and a powerful electric fan.

There is a large selection of books,board games and guides to the local area.

The quaint kitchen/ diner has a glass table seating six,blender,cabinets, coffee maker,electric fridge/freezer, gas cooker,hot and cold water basin,juicer,kettle, electric knife,microwave, sandwich maker,toaster, wine racks and all the usual utensils with TV and Radio/ Cassette for your entertainment.Please do not dispose of fats, paper tissues or solids down the sinks or toilet as narrow pipes typical of the Algarve use the bin provided.

The half bath/ shower room has wc and two hot and cold wash basins.

There is utility room with gas boiler and vacuum cleaners.

There is access to a private fresh water pool and sun terraces with many areas for outside dining.

In addition the outside space offers an solar shower,brick built charcoal bread oven,barbecues and sun loungers in the beautiful landscaped gardens with off road parking for up to four vehicles.

There are inflatable toys and swimming accessories for children.

There is use of a washing machine and a washer/dryer,ironing boards,and iron on the ground floor utility room of the unique feature viewing tower with stunning views of the surrounding countryside from the open second floor terrace(not suitable for children without parents supervision) There are additional chairs to take in the views. The first floor has excellent WiFi, a desk, four chairs, fan heater and could be used as an office if privacy from main house is required.

There are several private sun terraces/patios set in the stone walled beautifully landscaped mature gardens of approximately 400m2 with almond, carab, citrus,fig, olive,walnut trees.Aloe Vira Bougainvillea Grapevine.Lavender and many other colourful plants also surrounding the kidney shaped fresh water swimming pool.

Covoes was almost an abandoned village thriving at the end of the nineteenth century with now some of the houses lovingly restored whist others remain in ruin or just empty because of intestate estates under Portugese law.

The walk back in time to the next village Portela is suitable for the whole family past lime loving plants including dwarf palms,rosemary, thyme and a wonderful selection of wild flowers.

Getting around

Car is advised please check internet for best car hire rates from Faro Airport. 5 minute drive (4kms)to nearest supermarket and restaurants in Salir. Faro Airport is about 38 minutes(30km)drive taking toll motorway or 40 minutes through Loule. Taxi for four will cost about 35/40 euros from Faro Airport or 15/18 euros from Loule taxi rank. Loule is 17 minutes drive(13kms) Quarteira is about 33 minutes drive (26kms) with beaches on the way. From Nave about a 15/20 minute walk downhill (1 km) there is an irregular bus service for Salir and Loule bus station with bus connections to Loule Train station and buses to the rest of Algarve,Lisbon and Seville(Spain)

Interaction with guest

Owner available 24/7 in house next door with separate entrance for guests privacy. The pool areas are watered and cleaned daily early in morning and front areas early evening depending on guests preference.Having much local knowledge following over thirty years in the Algarve on and off the host would be happy to recommend restaurants ,places to see and events. Nothing is too small to ask.

The property is over 300 years old with low doors which have been retained in order to save character of the house so please mind your head !
Plumbing is old fashioned with slow drainage to a fosser which is typical of country properties in Portugal.Please do not put toilet paper in the toilet dispose in the bin next to.I supply wet wipes.TV Ext 1 Astra and Hotbird Ext 2

How do damage deposits work?
