This beautiful Villa is set in a stunning location with beautiful views of Sami and the nearby island of Ithaca. It sleeps 6 people comfortably set within a secluded garden in a very tranquil enviroment.

Remote control air conditioning is available within all living spaces of the Villa

Villa Pelagia enjoys a central position on the island and ensures easy access to Kefalonia's airport, the capital of Argostoli and other major attractions which include the cave/lake of Melissani, famous Myrtos Beach and the beautiful little port of Fiskardo.

Activities available locally are sailing, diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, cycling, walking and a good deal of lazing about around the pool drinking in the beautiful views! There are plenty of delightful restaurants, bars and cafes within a short drive in Karavomilos, Agia Efimia and Poulata.

Three kilometres away, the bustling port of Sami has banks, post office, medical centre, tourist office, supermarkets and shops. However, the charm of Villa Pelagia is its stunning views of the Ionian Sea, and the port of Sami and its idyllic location...

The Villa was a case study in the November 2009 edition of the Places in the Sun Magazine which ran a feature on Kefalonia and detailed our reasons for building this Villa. " We had our dream home built on Kefalonia"

The villa has twice weekly maid service and a welcome pack on arrival. The pool and gardens are fully maintained. Our guests are welcomed by our Agent Spyros Dorizas.

The open plan living area has been equipped with comfort in mind and all the conveniences you would expect from a high class villa, there is a TV with DVD player and also a docking station for an IPOD within the lounge area. A log burning stove is in this room.
The kitchen is equipped and designed to a very high standard with a table and chairs for six people.
There are three double bedrooms equipped with ample fitted wardrobes and hairdryers in all of the bedrooms.
The main bedroom is en suite and the further two bedrooms share a bathroom between them.

For your convenience there is a further bathroom in the sunny large basement below , which also houses the washing machine and excellent storage space if required.

Our villa was designed by us and the project was managed by our agent Spyros, it was completed in July 2009 and we are extremely pleased with the end result.

There is a very large terrace overlooking the private swimming pool which houses a table for al fresco dining and is partially sheltered for comfort.

There is a large patio area which houses a 7m x 4m infinity pool which is ideal to cool off after relaxing in the sun. There are also six sun loungers and a barbecue on this level for outside cooking.

The lower garden area has another patio area and various shrubs from which you can still enjoy the stunning views.
Within the secure garden there is adequate parking for two cars.

“Villa Pelagia, Kefalonia”

The villa is beautiful and the views are fabulous but the villa is very hard to find, some signs on the road would be a great help, as we got lost several times in the dark.

Owner's reply: Hi Sharon, I am glad you found the villa beautiful , I am sorry you had difficulty finding the villa, we did email across instructions to you , However when I called you before your arrival , I believe that you did not have them with you and you were unable to access your emails . I do hope this did not spoil your holiday

“A little piece of authentic Greece with everything you could wish for in a villa”

After spending a week in Kefalonia I can't understand why Odysseus took 20 years to return from the Trojan wars because my wife and I want to go straight back! The villa is situated only a 10 minute drive from the town of Sami, where we ate almost every night alongside the harbour watching the sun sink behind the mountains and the yachts sailing in and out. The service at each taverna was friendly and the food was good, as well as reasonably priced. On the way home you can stop in the town square and have a cooling ice cream at Captain Jimmy's. There is a supermarket with everything you could possibly need and the most fantastic bakeries for delicious bread and cakes. Villa Pelegia, named after the love interest from Captain Corelli's Mandolin, is clean, luxurious, spacious and very well equipped with stunning views. You really couldn't ask for more - the owners have thought of everything. It really is very spoiling and once you have stayed at the villa anywhere else just won't do! This year was our second holiday and it was every bit as good. It's an easy drive from the airport and you can be in the pool within an hour of landing...just about! You will be met by Spyros who will open up the villa and show you everything you need to know and is always at the end of the telephone should you need him. Any Captain Corelli fans can find the abandoned film set on the road out of Sami towards the beach Anti Samos - a stunning beach which is great for swimming. The pool at the villa is a welcome relief from the heat and on a warm evening you can sit on the balcony with a cold beer or a glass of the excellent local white wine watching the comings and goings of the ferries in the distant port of Sami. During the day there are a number of lovely beaches to drive to and places of interest to visit for the more adventurous. Hiring a car really is essential and it's great to be able to explore this beautiful island and stunning beaches. You can easily stay and eat in if preferred and again everything you could ask for is there to make a delicious meal or cook on the BBQ. We cannot recommend the villa highly enough...having sampled many Greek islands and accommodation over the years Villa Pelegia is special and you will want to return again and again as indeed we will to the magical island of Kefalonia.

A superbly equipped villa with stunning views across to Ithaca. Spotlessly clean & well maintained in a quiet village location on the hillside. Own (small) pool. As advertised, a car is essential for travel but you would want to explore this lovely island anyway & car hire is cheap. Nearby port of Sami has good amenities & numerous restaurants with friendly staff. Antisamos beach is a must visit for sun-worshippers with a great beach-side restaurant & free sun beds. We will definitely return.
