Description

Casa da Vinha is an old farmhouse from a winemaking family. This is witnessed today by the fact that the house has still four wine tanks integrated in the house. Three in the main house which are now bedrooms. And one in the other part of the house. The main house has also a winepress in the center of the diningroom table. Not only wine was made in this house. Out of the residues of the wine production a liquor was made: bagaço.

OFFER: when you book 7 nights or more we offer you a tour, tasting event and brunch at the quinta Almiara for 2 persons (vinyard/wineproducer).

In the present Casa da Vinha- Casa Principal is a comfortable house (livingroom, dining area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a gardenroom) close to a very beautifull part of the Portuguese coast. The Santa Cruz area which has long wellcoming beaches.

Behind the house there are two big gardens. Here you can relax in the sun or in the shadow, enjoy a drink, lunch or bbq. This gardens are shared with guest who stay at the apartments Casa da Vinha - Apartamento do Jardim and Casa da Vina - Suite Amarelo. The gardens have fruittrees and chickens. The fruits of the garden are at your disposal.

Close enough to tourism to enjoy all the pleasures of it. Far away enough to see normal Portuguese people doing their thing. You might even join them for a cup of coffee or a glass of local wine.

The bus is good enough to transport you to the major touristic sites like Lisboa, Torres-Vedras, Ericeira, Sintra, etc. Smaller sites require private transport.

In English this means that everything in and around the house will be well arranged. "BemArranjada" is the name of our company that supports vacation rental owners in renting their houses to tourists.In the case of Casa da Vinha we take care of everything. We will arrange your wellcome and explain how things work in and around the house. If you have questions or problems just let us know. We will try to resolve your problem over the phone. If that is not enough we will help you on location. If you like we can tell you about some place that you should visit.

House rules

Extra guests are welcome as long as they respect the house rules of quiet hours and respect the property.
Extra guests are welcome with regard to the maximum occupancy of the VR. Visitors do not sleep over.
Quiet hours: Between 2200 hrs and 0800 hrs we ask you kindly to keep noise inside the walls of the VR or within the garden walls.
Before leaving the VR please wash the dishes and remove garbage. Before leaving the VR leave the laundry belonging to the rental on the floor or designated bin.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Maarten (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
