Welcome to Can Riera!

We are a XVIII century rural guest house nestled in the foothills of Montseny. We believe in living in harmony with nature in a self-sustaining way. This is what we would love to share with you. City life taking it's toll? Join us for a deep breath of fresh air (literally). We welcome dogs as-well!

The original part of the house was built in XVIII century and over the past few hundred years has been lovingly restored in keeping with the original character and style of the building. We have 4 rooms and 1 apartment to offer, each with their own unique character to suit your needs.

You are currently viewing the (NORD) "North" room. It has a double bed and a single bed, ensuite bathroom and opens directly onto the garden, with wheelchair access. Perfect for families.

You will of course have acces to all of the communal areas the house has to offer. Lounge with TV, kitchen area complete with stove, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and our traditional dining room.

In our gardens, you will have the company of our horses, chickens, dog and cats (all very friendly).

We have many cozy outdoor seating areas to unwind, eat & drink, or just take in the mountain scenery.

We also have our own organic vegetable garden so if you want to sample our fresh produce, just ask :)

Location is perfect for those who love hiking, cycling, visiting well presevered and stunning villages or simply just relaxing.

We are situated just one hour's drive from both Barcelona or Girona. Also just one hour to the beach or to the ski resort, depending on the time of year :) . We are 10 mins drive from the main city of Ososa, Vic, famed all over Catalunya for its lively markets, roman ruins and its outstanding local produce and crafts.

Why can't I call Aida (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
