Relax and enjoy the tall trees, comfortable cabin and quiet beauty of our Sunshine Coast Getaway. Tuwanek is a small oceanfront community tucked away at the end of Sechelt Inlet Road. Approximately 4 km past Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. Pull into the driveway and find a bright yard, flowering bushes, tall trees, and a welcoming cabin. The cabin has two floors, big front deck with propane BBQ, as well as a back yard patio which has a 6-person hot tub and fire pit.Enjoy the hot tub nestled in the tall trees in the back yard, or sit with friends watching the humming birds, while preparing your dinner.It's a comfortable rustic cabin, sitting on 1/3 of an acre with a pretty front yard with apple and cherry trees, cedar, dogwood and chestnut trees, and lots of birds. Quiet and peaceful.There are two beaches within walking distance to choose from. A 2-minute walk to a small secluded beach, which is a perfect place to launch the canoe or kayak. The second bigger beach is a 5-minute walk and is a renowned dive location.Cabin sleeps six, with all amenities; a full kitchen; wood burning stove and electric heating.The Cabin has 3 bedrooms; 2 queen sized beds and 2 single beds.Washer and Dryer and complimentary WiFi. Please bring your own beach towel.

Getting around

We suggest having a car or truck which will allow you to experience the myriad of activities and events that are up and down the Sunshine Coast. Sechelt also offers a bus to and from the ferry, but you'll need a vehicle (or taxi) to get to Tuwanek Timbers, as it's 10 km outside of Sechelt.

Interaction with guest

Once you have booked Tuwanek Timbers, we ask our guests to complete our registration form, providing us with the details of your group. We then follow-up one week before your stay and provide access details and directions to the cabin. Our cabin is a great landing spot for recreation and relaxation get-aways from the City of Vancouver. Our area offers great scuba diving and Tuwanek Beach is considered a very good dive location.

Why can't I call Lori (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lori (the owner) a message.

If Lori (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
