A luxurious and distinctive detached stone villa, with breathtaking views over beautiful unspoilt countryside.

Inside, rooms are spacious and light with cool tiled floors, high ceilings and a decor of the very highest standard mixing rustic and contemporary design. The thick stone walls maintain a cool interior even on the hottest of days, whilst the open fire will keep you warm during a winter visit.

On the ground floor, the accommodation comprises three bedrooms, each opening out onto a large balcony. Two of the bedrooms have double beds, the third has two singles. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, with bath, shower and wc. The fourth bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor. The first floor also contains a large open plan living area and a fully equipped kitchen, leading to a second terrace that overlooks the private 10 by 5 metre swimming pool. The upper floor houses the extensive games room where you will find a pool table, a casino table and a cinema area.

With over 400 square metres of living space, this fully eqipped villa will provide everything you need for a wonderful holiday in the middle of the lush Portugeuese countryside. Peaceful river beaches are only a five minute drive, whilst the busy city of Tomar with its wide range of restaurants are only fifteen minutes by car.

Within an hours drive, several five star golf courses can be reached, or if you prefer, the heritage sites of Fatima and Abrantes are only a short drive. Lisbon is just over an hour by car.

The large open living room and dining area has an L shaped sofa, and comfortable leather chairs. Open fire for cooler nights. Large patio doors which open onto terrace. Dining table and chairs to accommodate eight people for dinner.

Comprehensive kitchen overlooking the rear garden and pool, featuring six ring gas hob, large oven, extractor fan, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. Patio doors lead out onto the terrace.

Games room complete with casino table and full size pool table. Cinema area with projector and surround sound. A wide selection of English speaking DVDs. Selection of board games and books.

10x5 metre private swimming pool. Outdoor sun loungers for the pool area with plenty of space for sunbathing.

Ample car parking to the front of the property.

Local shop, butcher, post office and cafe/bar in nearby village just a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. Larger supermarkets and many restaurants serving typical Portuguese food can be found in Tomar within a15 minute drive.

“A wonderful 'getaway' from it all.....”

My wife and I stayed at Casa Do Vale last September for a week. We basically wanted some sunshine after the miserable UK summer - and we were not disappointed. The villa is large and well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater, and we also made good use of the BBQ there. We spent plenty of time lazing by the pool, which is huge, but also made use of our hire car to explore. The owners have left a folder at the villa of suggested trips - so we just chose a couple of those. Tomar is a must-see, and is only 20 minutes drive away - with cobbled streets, restaurants, shops and a couple of big supermarkets (excellent fish for the bbq!). We also took a picnic to a local lake, which was a great afternoon out. Everything about the holiday was really enjoyable - except we only had one week. We are returning later this year - for two!

“Look no further than Casa Do Vale”

I have stayed at Casa Do Vale four times now, and each time it is more lovely. We always arrive to a hamper full of goodies, and have our first alfresco meal sitting on the terrace, glass of wine in hand, looking at the amazing views. Last time we holidayed with extended family, so there were 7 of us, but there was still plenty of space with each bedroom having its own bathroom. The pool is gorgeous with a large patio to enjoy the sunshine. The gazebo provides welcome shade in the middle of the day for little ones to enjoy an afternoon nap. The teenagers that were with us spent plenty of time in the games room, watching dvd's and playing various games. They also enjoyed strolling into Serra for lunch (the cafe does wonderful toasties, aswell as eveing meals). If you are looking for bright lights and nightclubs, then then this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for a luxurious villa, a pool of your own, some sunshine, and complete peace - I can highly recommend Casa Do Vale.

How do damage deposits work?
