Description

The Space

House with plenty of space within walking distance (850m) from all bars, restaurants, the beach, shops and transport terminals.

The charming house has ca. 120 qm living space and a garden with a space of around 300 qm.

The house has 3 bedrooms with 2 beds each. The boxspring beds can be used as double or single beds. There are 2 bedrooms and the main bathroom in the upper part of the house and one more bedroom in the lower part. This one is a bit smaller, but has its private bathroom.

The conservatory, the dining area and the kitchen are one open area includes a bar/kitchen island a big dining table and direct access to the both terraces and the garden.

There is a traditional Portuguese barbeque on the main terrace done in terracotta tiles. We recommend to buy fresh fish on the market of Sesimbra and grill it there.

The Neighborhood

The region in a surrounding of 50km offers everything imaginable: hiking, surfing, diving, rock climbing, cycling, golfing, fishing…

The centre of Sesimbra and the beach is situated ca. 10-15 walking minutes from the house.

There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shop along the promenade. You can discover more small lovely local places to eat in the narrow streets of the village. It pays to take a look to the houses decorated with handmade tiles and to the artistically doors and windows.

- The market is worth a visit. Besides of cheeze, chorizo and vegetables you find also amazing fresh fish and seafood that comes directly from the sea to the tables of the peixeiras (fishmongers).

- The fort (Fortalez de Santiago) and the castle (Castello) remind you of the history and the battles of the city.

- The beaches at the Costa Azul (blue coast) are phantastically beautiful and extremely diverse. While in the South of Portugal (Algarve) crowds of people rush to beaches, you can still find deserted beaches with blue lagoons. Chrystal blue water awaits you, which divers and sufers love just as the dolfins.

-From wine production to cheese-making (Azeitao) - there are planty of things to see and to prove for the gourmets of you. Along the Rota dos Vinhos (street oft he wine) you find adegas (wineries) en masse.

- Just some meters in front of the house starts the natural protect area Serra Arrabida. There you see impressing steep cliffs to the Atlantic Ocean. For Outdoor-lovers the area offers famous surfing beaches (Praia da Foz/Cabo Espichel, Praia do Meco, Praia da Rainha, Bicas, Fonte da Telha oder Costa da Caparica) You find amazing climbing spots in the country and at the coast (like A Fenda, Meio Mango, Azoia). Also canoeing, hiking oder just walking or driving around the natural park Serra Arrabida is possible.

-Lisbon is not far from there. You can have perfect combination for your holiday with enjoying the sea, beaches, nature and also the city. It's worth to have a city trip to Lisbon!

Getting around

The airport of Lisbon is 44km far. It takes you 40 minutes by car or ba taxi (depends on the traffic). With the public transport you go to Praca de Espanha in Lisbon by metro and from there you reach in 50 minutes to Sesimbra by bus for around 5 Euro. The bus stop is around 2 minutes from the house.

How do damage deposits work?
