Country Charm.

We have 4 rooms in the main country home available, but we are expanding our cabin rentals in the surrounding woods. Renting the 6 person cabin comes with a BBQ. The cabin does not have a refrigerator and you need a sleeping bag and pillow and flash lights. Washroom facilitry is either in the main house or could be an outhouse. Please be sure to ask at time of booking. Located along the Trent Severn Waterways, you can launch a small craft and explore, be sure to bring your water craft. We are 1 minute Just up off the river. We are not on the river, please note. Enjoy a bon fire at night at the main area. Wood to be purchased on arrival only with cash. We have ample parking for all our guests. Close to lots of excitement .If it is a light breakfast that you need, let us know at the time of booking it is included, coffee and tea and pastry.

Bike riding along the country roads.

Nature walks

Be sure to bring your small water craft. You can go canoeing and kayaking, down the river or venture into our untouched santuary with Lilly pads and beautiful scenery on Grassy Lake.

Getting around

We are minutes away from the casino by car. Bus pulls into Washago and a taxi can bring you out to the house or you can make arrangements with myself to pick you up and take you back there for a $20.00 fee cash. Small craft could get you to the nearest general store at the Blue Swing Bridge by the water ways. Bicycles are allowed on the cottage roads and main road.

Interaction with guest

When guests arrive I can answer any questions. I will ask what time they would enjoy to have their breakfast. Note, the important things will be explained first and then extra activities they would like to see and do. I may or may not be available after their initial check in. Please note this is a private home. The bedrooms in the house are equipped with fans. No air conditioner. This No 1 bedroom is the only one on the main floor. A big NOTE is we are on a well system with a septic tank and weeping bed. We limit water to one quick shower per day and use of water is for on the property consumption. Guest towels available. Also a Big Note there is no cooking in the main house and the quiet time start at 9 Thank you for your co operation

Sorry there is no alcohol allowed on the property. No bad language and no pets. no smoking on the property. We hope that if awake longer than any other guests in the home or out in the cabins, that you must be considerate of others. House rules are posted and cabin rules are posted. Thank you.Sorry we cannot allow party's. We do have a strict rule that no one is to be in the kitchen after 9 pm

How do damage deposits work?

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
